Hi Vicki!I write horror comedy for a gen-X audience. My first book, Wisconsin Vamp is about a lovable loser in rural WI that becomes a vampire. As he fumbles into his newfound abilities, he starts to out-shine his best friend and bowling partner. Their escalating rivalry peaks when the go for the same girl.
If you want to check it out, email me at swbauthor [at] gmail and I can gift you an Amazon ebook. If you enjoy it and want to read the sequel, I can gift you Northwoods Wolfman too.
Thanks!
Scott
Ok. I totally realize that I got a little excited with the topic title.Sorry. Won't happen again.
Anywho... Let's use this page to share FB author page links, author websites, etc.

Wow? Why wow? Horror SHOULD be hilarious. Ask anyone. (And by "anyone" I mean Bruce Campbell or Simon Pegg.)
Horror comedy. A bowling vampire, a beer-guzzling, narcissistic werewolf, a diner waitress turned witch, a stuttering alien abductee, etc. All nestled in the northwoods of Wisconsin.
OK. Pic is loaded. The pic is part of a pretty fun story. I'll give the Readers Digest Abridged version...
I self-pub'd in Jan 2014. Part of my 'marketing' strategy was to try and find some social media influencers to help boost awareness of my book. I really like the show Supernatural, and figured fans of that show would probably enjoy my book. I started making note of who directed my favorite episodes, and then I looked up those directors on Social Media to see if I had anything in common with them.
Guy loves cars, rock and roll, dogs, beer, and is a total greenie. He drives a Tesla, totally supports solar, etc. In short, he seemed like the kind of person I had a lot in common with. The kind of person I'd enjoy getting a beer with. So I sent him a tweet while he was waiting to fly from Canada to LA. He responded, and we struck up a friendly banter.
Fast forward about 9 months. He tweeted out a picture of him holding my book to his ~45k followers.
Totally made my day. Hell, it totally made my year!
He and I are still in touch on Twitter. If I ever get a shot at putting Wisconsin Vamp up on the silver screen, I'll only do it if Guy gets to direct. That will be one of my three requirements.
(The other two are that my friend Kevin gets to have a song in the movie, and that any friend of mine that wants to be a featured extra can be).
