201489 Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Tal Bauer has a new book releasing in July called Hush. This is NOT affiliated with the Executive Office Series. This IS a standalone. A political thriller of awesomeness, but a standalone all the same.

If this piques your interest, tickles your fancy, revs your engine, etc...then hop on over to my website to check out the cover reveal and blurb.

Remember......NOT in the Executive Office world.

201489 I believe I had this same discussion with Tal. NOBODY questioned the legitimacy of this whole event?!?!?! I can see why not at that moment with emotions high and scattered but the next day? Or the next? I get more angry at Ethan too. He should have stood his ground and forced Jack to look at the big picture. Or as you mention Irwin, or even Elizabeth. How or why did nobody step forward. I get the whole "Jack must grow as a character" and have his "ah-ha" moment, but please. Someone should have said something.

There was no way to mentally prepare yourself after what Tal put us through with the attack on Sochi. That already had our adrenaline pumping and anxiety levels raised. Then Madigan saying hello. I felt panicked at that moment. Once Leslie was revealed my heart fissured. Jack stepping away from Ethan on AF1, my heart cracked.

I just about died when Jack backed away from Ethan. My heart was hurting so much I needed their strength to help pull me through and when I didn't get it, I fell into a pit of despair. Even with Doc, Adam, and Faisal breaking up the tension a little bit I couldn't shake the pain. I will probably never re-read that scene in my lifetime. Even though I understand Jack's thoughts better with Tal's Byte I just can't.

201489 Also, I have to say I feel sort of bad for Leslie 2.0. She was a clone, but she had the opportunity to live a life and everything was taken away from her just so she could become a live bomb. :(

201489 Did anyone else fist bump the air when Jack went after Ethan?

201489 Okay, we're getting closer to release date for Enemy Within. This week we get to talk about the last half of EomE.

What was your first reaction when Jack was reunited with Leslie?

I think I sent Tal a message that went along the lines of "Leslie?? Are you effing kidding me?!?!" Then I mentally shut down. I couldn't take anymore and become a robot. I'm pretty sure Johny 5 had more of a personality then I did at that time. Took me a good 48 hours after finishing the book to reconcile everything I had read.

Tal's writing is above par for sure. When I did my review for EomE I made it into a survival guide. I honestly thought that book was going to make my heart stop. It was almost too much.

I would love to sit around a camp fire with him and just give him some prompts and see what sort of story he'd weave.
201489 I'm in love with all of this. To see how you all are coming up with your answers. This is what I live for. To talk books and chat theories and you all are awesome.

Ariana-General Bell is a butt and number one on my list. NOBODY talks to or treats our Ethan like that. Psh.....

I totally forgot about that whole scene in Paris. *runs to notebook to add notes* Must re-put my thinking cap on.

Awe....what a great belated birthday gift. I just saw this. :) I'm honored to be the Levi to your Ethan. Although I'd prefer to not be left behind so often. ;)

Remember that Irwin died in Enemy of my Enemy. The mole is still very much alive. ;)

Hypothetically speaking, since they're a mole, they would probably know a lot more information then what you're giving the possible mole credit for.

Jerry...I just want you to know that I'm clapping very enthusiastically at this mention. When Jack realized it was Leslie I had no more f*cks to give. All my emotions had run through the ringer and I was done. However, I remembered this idea of cloning and it always stuck in my mind. I begged for her to be a clone. Might have prayed to the book gods, on the inside. On the outside I was a robot reading.
201489 I'm with you Ariana. I'm usually the person you have to spell everything out to because I didn't put the one million clues together. I went into Enemy Within suspicious of everyone.

When his true colors came front and center I felt really ashamed that I like his no bullsh1t attitude. I really thought he was just giving it straight without beating around the bush. Then he gave Ethan those glances that made me want to question why he was there. Then Leslie showed up and it all just came down. He's a jerk that got Jack's ratings back into good standings, but still a jerk.

201489 Did anyone else really enjoy Levi transferring from POTUS detail to be lead for BOTUS?

I still smile to this day over him following Ethan and telling him that his best bud starts a new job today and he has to support that. Probably one of my favorite little scenes that just bring normality to the story.
