201703 Question: Identify significant moments in the text? Why are they important?

In the novel The Shade Of The Moon By Susan Beth Pfeffer, a significant moment was when Jon was keeping things he doesn't want other people to know to himself. He is keeping so many secrets to himself that when he wants to tell someone, he tells Carlos. He really likes Carlos and also believes that he can be trusted. The novel stated, “Bad times made for big secrets.” which shows that Jon was really stressed out about the big secrets. He had multiple secrets. For example, he asked Sarah to be his friend even thought Zachary and Tyler didn't want that. That proved how he was not loyal towards Zachary. Another secret was that Jon didn't want to tell Miranda how much he hated her for killing Julie. He wanted her to admit to him that she killed Julie. He kept so many secrets that it was reveal to multiple people. His actions were not smart.
