201703 Question: What is the purpose of the secondary characters.

Focus: Improving my analysis

In a fantasy Novel, Wolf Island, by Darren Shan, the purpose of the secondary character is to protect the pieces of the Kah-gash. Throughout the book, Beranabus and his allies are collecting pieces of the Kah-gash.Once collect Beranabus wants to use the Kah-gash to destroy Demonata universe. However, it is not that easy. The demons of Demonata universe found out his idea of destroying their universe and started to collect the pieces of the Kah-gash too. The demons will interrupt/steal the pieces of Kah-gash from Beranabus. Beranabus was not willing to give them up so he has to protect them. In page 15 one of the pieces of Kah-gash is a girl named Bec and he protects her as much as possible as stated” he’s ultra protective of his little Bec”He would cast spells to the demons, protect the people with the Kah-gash and kill whoever tries to steal them. At one point he was willing to give up his life to protect them. Beranabus one of the most important secondary character in the book has the purpose of protecting the Kah-gash and collecting them.

201703 Focus Question: What patterns do you notice about your character? What do they reveal.

In the book "Steve Jobs The Man Who Thought Different" by Karen Blumenthal, the author shows the claim that to never give up. In the book, Karen writes about Steve Jobs life. Throughout his life Steve jobs faces many challenges and he never gives up. At one point he got fired from his own company Apple (Which I'm sure all of you know). But he still pursued what he want and he got back to his company. Also, when Steve Jobs join back to the company, the company was almost in bankruptcy but he worked 10 hours + a day and he manage to create products to for people to buy. He also was adopted which is a hard thing for him to deal with when he was small. Overall, Steve Jobs was a man that worked hard to pursue his dreams.

201703 Question: What Motivates you character?
In the book The Reason I Jumped the main character (The author) has autism and is trying to live a normal life. The author which is Naoki Higshida is a 13 year old boy when he wrote this book. In this book Naoki Higshida was asked many questions on how he lives his life and what he has done to help his autism.

In a page (I don't know I don't have the book anymore) he said "Life is a battle". This really motivates him because he wants to show everyone that he is just as normal as other people. Throughout the book he faces many challagnes like speaking/communicating with others. He also shows the way he thinks about things like numbers. According the the autor he says that "People with autism really gets a kick out of numbers". The author really lives by the quote "Life is a battle" because he has to fight though situatuons that might not be normal to him like speaking. He had to use a comupter and learn to communicate that way because speaking was to hard for him.
