Doctor Mandelet is a well known and well trusted doctor who is know for his "speaking skills". Mr. Pontellier is searching for answers about Mrs. Pontellier. He wants to know how he can salvage their relationship, and what he needs to do to "make her normal again". The Doctor tells him that he must leave her alone, and let her mellow out. He is also told that if she doesn't return to who she was before, she must seek help from Doctor Mandelet.
Edna is going through a tough time right now, and is in between three guys. How do you think Robert's letter might effect her decision? And which do you think is the most genuine? And Why.

I am beginning to not despise the book, and am glad that I no longer do. Without enjoying the book, the rest of this marking period would be a hassle.

I agree, Dom. The plot could not exist without Robert. Robert is basically the Iago of this story, in the sense that without him there is no way the story would have any length or even be a story at all.
2&4:When I started this book over the weekend, or tried to, I was bored out of my mind. I thought that there was no way I was going to be able to finish this book, or do the work in general. As I started this second part of our assigned reading, Chapter XI, I was drawn so much deeper into the plot and story being told. I cannot really say I am connecting to the book, but for the last few chapter I have somehow enjoyed the story at hand. The opening scene in the start of the second portion of reading was what drew me into actually semi enjoying the book. Another thing is that this book really draws me back to when we learned the literary criticisms. This book obviously draws really close to gender studies, and the overall role that your gender plays on who you are as a character. This is because women were seen more as stay at home people, like majority of the women in the story. Instead of women like Edna who were trying to explore their life more.
