Just a fun book that read like a fairy tale, but crushing all those stereotypes. That's the aspect I liked the most. How it played with classic stories.
I loved it more than I expected! I thought it was fucked up in the all the right ways and I'd be happy if it was made into a movie without jumpscares, cause those are the worst. The ending was a little bit underwhelming, but I did enjoy it anyway. I also was sort of right and wrong about my theories, like, I thought something supernatural was actually happening, but it sort of wasn't.
I also was very surprised when I realized that she was dead and was like "whaaaat?" Although now thinking about it I can see how it was shown, but then I was just trying to read it as soon as possible I was so engrossed.
So, if you've already read this book and enjoyed it or maybe didn't like it one bit, you're welcome to share your thoughts and discuss it!SPOLER ALERT, duh.
I love fantasy as well, but I also like a lot of contemporary, thriller/horror or sci-fi books. Still, fantasy is the best and I tend to read it much more than any other genre. One of my all time favourite series is Percy Jackson. And I mean all ten of them, even though they're kinda different.
Actually, I think it's gonna take a whole list to tell you about all of my favourites, so just maybe check out the shelf on my page and you'll get it.)
All of us have favourites. What are yours? Find friends who share your opinions, or politely argue with those who don't.
How you fell in love with reading? What was your first book chosen not by your parents? We wanna know it all!
