I'm good with that! I just finished the Memory Keeper's Daughter while I was in Ireland. I'm flying through these things. If we are unanimous in The Joy Luck Club I'll go pick it up from the library!

Sorry I'm just responding to this now! I was away, as you know, getting married and such :)

I thought the whole out of body thing was weird too. The rest of the book with her watching from heaven and even the moments when people "saw" her was good to me. I guess in some way I like to think that could happen, that someone you love could stay around after they are gone. But the out of body thing? I guess it was like in Ghost when Patrick Swayze uses Whoopi Goldberg. Except in Ghost it's way better. I'm not entirely sure why the author put that in. It didn't really add anything to the book for me. It honestly just confused me a little.

I absolutely LOVED The Lovely Bones. I read it back in August. I think I got a little carried away this summer with the reading. Looking forward to hearing what you think!

I just finished our next book, The Lovely Bones, because I don't have this one. I'm going to borrow it from Sam and read it when she's done! I'm just going all out of order.
