It is an interesting line. The Bennet Wardrobe is rooted in the 1811 sense of P&P but, as you know, fires down the timeline as the characters find answers that help them arrive at their better selves. Of course, Jane has married Bingley and Lizzy has wed Darcy! It just gets frustrating as casual readers discover the term "pride and prejudice variations" and use it. Those of us who are still building our reader base cannot depend on a search for "Don Jacobson."
No...seems to be an algorithm...but the humans are following up with rejections as well.I am tempted to include it in the title. May be worth a shot (thanks, talia!)
OK...fellow JAFFers.I am fighting with Kindle Direct Publishing over the search term "pride and prejudice variations." They just called out my Bennet Wardrobe book "Henry Fitzwilliam's War" for not being eligible to use the term. Of course, all of the Bennet Wardrobe books are P & P Variations. Kydia (named) appears in this book...Kitty (only referred to as A Lady) is the second lead character!
If I am barred from using "pride and prejudice variations (or sequels)" as a search term, what term would allow you to find my book as you casually browse? JAFF?
Apparently "Jane Austen" is now on the naughty list, too.
Help?
I always appreciate your thoughtful reviews. This has just been a puzzler for me as I know I am getting many more readings than ratings/reviews.Sheila wrote: "I, for one, always leave a review but I don't always put my rating on that intended page as many times I want to think about it and then I rate and review all at the same time BUT I always leave a ..."
Thank you. I just was wondering if seeing "The End" and then getting another five or six flips before the book hits 100% may have been a roadblock.
Hi, This may be a bit off-the-wall. However, I am curious if back matter in a Kindle book prevents you (the reader) from going to the "leave a review" page. My stories usually have "Afterward," "About the Author," "Other books by the Author," and "End Notes." I know I am getting more reads than ratings.
So I am curious.

Hi....I am a big fan of Jane Grix' work. This fit in the midst of it wonderfully. While the device used to give Lizzie a connection to the Darcy family is tried and true, it is again put to excellent use. I did enjoy the alternate paths down which Grix took Jane, Bingley and even Mrs. Bennet. I have, nyself, used the early demise of Mr B as a way to fulfill Mama's nightmares and set the action in different directions! Thank you for the pick!!! Review to be posted another time.Anji wrote: "Don wrote: "OK.... so I got 9...but I am trying to write, too!

Thanks for the kudoes AB...and Happy New Year to you! We are detoxing from our Las Vegas celebration. Back to Seattle in a few days...and then back to the keyboard.
I loved "Songbird!" Takes our common belief that while Lizzy played the pianoforte indifferently, she could sing like an angel...this wonderful book succeeds in relocating ODC in both time and space!Abigail wrote: "You never know, Claire, you may find yourself sucked in to the challenge by the siren call of good reviews and enthusiastic praise for one title or another!
