I also found Riley to be... quite interesting :) When I first finished it, I felt like there was something at the end that I was supposed to get that was hinted at with both her character attributes and the back cover blurb. So I read it again and lo and behold, there it was! Did you all enjoy the ending?

Same! I feel like romances are so overdone in dystopia/apocalyptic books and while I can understand that a romance would grow quickly under such circumstances, I always became annoyed at how the romance became the focal point instead of surviving or figuring out what's happening with the world. So I loved that this romance wasn't too overblown!

I agree with you Daniela! What did you think of the romance?

Haha that's okay, Olivia! I thought it would be too. You can't love every book out there :)

I had such high expectations for this! Maybe that was where I went wrong but it was actually a bit of a disappointment for me. I just think that there could have been so much more descriptive rhetoric. Everything was a little too cut and dry for me.

How did you feel about the romance, Daniela?

I really liked this book! I have to say, the way it started, I was expecting a typical sci-fi book and while some of it was very typical (hello again, love triangle) I think it brings up so many good questions about our society and what we value. While the Ratings were up front about who was valued, don't we do the exact same thing in our society, only a bit more subtly? In any case, I would
love to read the sequel! The way it ended... I just really want to know what happens to Treena and Vance and how everything works out with Vance's clan.

Hi everyone! I'm Laura! I read pretty much anything although YA Fantasy is my weakness (also chocolate) :D You may stalk me on social media and I sincerely promise to stalk you in return (in a non-creepy way, of course).
