I had heard great things so I started it. I didn't get very far when I decided to move to Kristin Hannah's The Four Winds instead. Usually my favorite books grab me from the beginning.

Was one of the most emotionally draining books I’ve ever read. I had to keep putting it down. I’d like to understand why it got so dark and what the motivation was for that. I haven’t really recommended it to others . . .
On another note, happy holidays!

Anna, this author is the childhood friend of one of my closest friends. She is absolutely lovely and has written several easy (yet enjoyable) reads. This book seemed to have struck a chord with readers and the author is becoming more popular. I have read a number of her books and plan on reading the latest one as well.

I just joined the group and look forward to future comments. I recently read (and would recommend) Pachinko, The Taster and Homegoing. Many more to read on my list!
