This is no guarantor that I'll read it, but I just picked up a copy of Bomarzo. It will likely sit on the shelf next to my two-year-old copy of Chevengur, though I may make it a 2026 project to read both.

Resurrecting this thread to say that Janos Szekely's Temptation is a stunner. Great coming-of-age novel set in Hungary between the World Wars.
