20898 Yep i am trying to remember that one so perhaps that speaks volumes that I cannot even bring it to mind !

20898 I know that one I think as 'Reality and Dreams' but I know how different countries bring out the same book but with different titles. Most confusing. Esecially if you send off for what you think is a new or different book and it is the same one but just titled in a new way.

20898 I had difficulties with 'The Driver's Seat'. and 'Not to disturb'. I often feel i should re-read them, they are the two I least enjoyed and the only two I have never re-visited.

20898 hear hear. Though having said that there are only a few 'Sparks' that have failed to light my fire.

20898 Sorry Sparkians, I missed this for some reason. I love the vast majority of her stuff and my all time favourite is 'Memento Mori'.

20898 Though I have read most of her novels at least once have to confess to never having red any of her short stories though i have just got hold of a copy of her collected short stories a few months ago. My favoourite novel still remians ' memento mori ' just brilliant and witty and perfect...i like it quite a lot

20898 hi all. Just found your group, can't believe I didn't think to search out a Spark gathering before. Love Muriel Spark and i love reading other writers' books on her especially if I don't always agree with their ideas cos its great to see anotherr view. Never fully understood ' Not to Disturb' and found ' Hothouse by the East river ' a tad unsettling too.
