I would throw in Donna S. Frelick's Interstellar Rescue series and two books by Sharon Lynn Fisher - Ghost Planet and Echo 8. Also Pauline Baird Jones' Project Enterprise series.
Catherine, I've been anticipating this once since I read The Rule of Luck. I even pre-ordered, which I don't do very often. The hard part till be finding time to read it - but I am looking forward to it!

I know you say book three is your favorite, but should they be read in order, or can a person jump into the third book. (Too many good books to read, not enough time to start at the beginning of a series!)

I've read her Darkyn (paranormal), Dishenchanted & Co (Steampunk) and Stardoc (SciFi) series. I've found a few of those short stories that are parts of these series.
Just finished Trouble in Mind by Donna S. Frelick. Book 2 in the Interstellar Rescue series. It was even better than book 1!

I really like Kiersten Fay's Shadow Quest series also! The Star series look interesting too- thanks for pointing it out!
Because Dark Horse was so awesome, I am reading book two in the Class5 series. Dark Deeds by Michelle Diener.
Alien Indiscretions by Tracey St. John. Erotic nature of the book aside, the continuing story of the Clans of Kalquor is complex and page-turning. I was up very late last night!Alien Indiscretions

- this is a great series. I didn't realize this was the last book until I read the Acknowledgement. :("I haven't read Breakout yet, but it is on my list. It is always hard for me to dive into the last of a series I really liked! I agree. It is a great series. I also loved Aguirre's Sirantha Jax series. And the steampunk series she writes with her husband, Apparatus Infernum, is really good!
I am reading City of Light by Keri Arthur. I would consider to be Sci Fi/Paranormal. I haven't gotten to the romance part yet, but knowing Ms. Arthurs books, I am sure it is coming. Wow, this author can write!
Arline wrote: "I'm reading "Shadow Fires" by Catherine Spangler. It's the newest book in the Shielder series and it's wonderful!
"Oh Shadow Fires is Sooo Good!
Just finished Light Fantastique by Cecilia Dominic, 2nd in the steampunk series Aether Physics. I love this series. Also Cyberella by Cari Silverwood - Sexy little sci fi novella.
Just started reading Keir's Fall, the sequal to Keir. Keir is one of my all time favorites, so I expect great things from Keir's Fall!
(There appears to be a cover color theme here.)
Yesterday I started All I Got for Christmas, a two-story anthology by Pauline Baird Jones and Genie Davis. I'm already a fan of Ms. Jones, but Ms. Davis is new to me.

I'm currently reading Shadow Fires by Catherine Spangler, which is #5 in the wonderful Shielder series. Then, when I get into my car, I am listening to Hunter's Claim by S.E. Smith. Both feature a female of one race who gets together with a warrior male of another race. One is for the good of her people, while the other is for the safety of her family.
