Are we talking human brain in an inorganic body here? I've read a few significantly dodgy stories that are essentially robot erotica, and a few 'cyborg slaves' types, which is ok if that is what does it for you, but I like more story, more reciprocal emotion in my reading matter.I hope there's more out there than what I've found so far. Any suggestions?
I think you need some cough syrup e.g. mind you I feel a tickle coming on too. I enjoy m/f as well as m/f/m and m/m, but I also enjoy books that describe different moralities and sexual traditions that don't encompass modern 'norms'.
(*cough* E.G's Twelve systems series *cough*)
We all have things that 'float out boats' and books cab be an idea way to explore things, you wouldn't (or couldn't) ever consider in real life. Changing the subject slightly, it always makes me smile when I'm asked if I has personal experience of situations I've depicted in my various series.
Strangely enough, I've never been into space, or personally met an alien, although there was that weird bloke on the bus when I was a kid...
Why some readers assume intimate aspects of a book are different from others in that respect, I don't know. Any ideas folks?
As always, if anyone wants a copy of any of my books, send me a private message, I'm always interested in reader opinions.
Grumbles back off to the drawing board. My hybrid series involves a female central character who has several males. Its how her species works.
It's a little unsettling for the humans involved.
Seems like most of us are on the same wavelength. Sex is part of life, but it isn't the only part. Story first, steamy nookie second.Next question is, what sort of couple dynamic do you prefer?
m/f, m/m, f/f, multiples or perhaps a variety of combinations?
(Not that I'm doing research for for next book or anything...)
I'm feeling my way just like anyone else. I think keeping the group alive by starting up new subjects for discussion would be the best way people can participate and help.

Most authors are also prolific readers (we get the love of books somewhere) but we'll be doing our best not to turn this into an author promotion group.
saying that... E.G. if you notice, I haven't published anything for a while.... but I'm working on it.
A lot.
But 'sweet' can be sexy too...I find scifi lends itself well to exploring other types of sexual/romantic relationships than you find in other romance genres as you can play about with what is 'normal'.
Reading about a relationship that could be exactly the same as a contemporary one, except for a scifi setting, isn't what interests me.
How much heat do you like in your sci-fi roms? There's a huge spectrum from 'fade to black' to 'fan needed' or stories that border on outright erotica and everything in between.
Welcome to the new mod team, we hope to be able to make this group interesting and fun for all you fans of sci-fi romance. But we'd appreciate a few suggestions about what you folks want out of this group.
I have thirteen mods on my review group, although there is only room for 12 icons. Jan seems to have gone silent again, so I think leaving this a week for her to get back to us is a good strategy. This group is already set up with members, discussion boards etc. it would be far easier to revamp this one that start from scratch.
I think its a good idea that we have a mix of readers and authors as mods. As much as I love reading, being an author does tend to skew my perspective a little.
