NightPiercer is intro to scifi series - well 2 books, with werewolves/shifters in space. Humans treat them badly and the poor heroine is treated badly by almost everyone. It's sort of a dark tragedy but it's not graphic. I loved it.

Saving Askara is a great scifi story where the alien H is horrified by the 'alien' human's appearance and eating habits. It's amusing but there was considerable angst due the h being a very strong and real life person, who falls in love and knows that some of their individual needs cannot be met by the other. They accepted it, but it was a cause of concern for her. And it is HFN at end of book 1 - more to come. It was fantastic.
