I finished Jessie Mihalik's Hunt the Stars and I eagerly await the next one. Reminds me a lot of Linnea Sinclair's books
I've been reading the Obsidian Rim world...I guess it's considered a multi-author series? But I don't think all the books are linked.Finished
and now reading
. There are several new-to-me authors.
I finished and loved
. Excellent worldbuilding and I loved the titular character. I think the publisher cancelled further books in the series, though.
Finished
. New Adult feel, more Scifi with romantic elements than SFR, but I really liked it anyway. The world feels super believable. It'll make you think about your relationship to your cell phone for sure.
Finishing up Forbidden Stranger. The pacing is slow, unlike the first book, but I like a lot of the plot points and questions.
For Elsa Jade (I adore the less-fluffy novels she's published as Jessa Slade), I've been reading
. Unusual heroine (age 50) and a lot of light comedy.I also finished
. Book doesn't really end with a HEA, but the other books are out. I was forewarned, though, so enjoyed it and am going to read the rest of the series.
I also read
, which I found quite original! Good action scenes, and a wonderfully complex hero. Also
which had some excellent worldbuilding.
Speaking of Bec McMaster, I recently finished
, which is the third in her Mad Max-ish (okay, it's actually called The Burned Lands) series.I love how the heroine pulls off her plan at the end. Feels very Western.

Finished
. It's a madcap adventure. Very heavy Men in Black themes. The protagonist is hypercompetent, and so are her family. A very twisty-turny plot. So it may work for you, or it may not. I thought it was a fun light read.
I quite enjoyed
, but the ending doesn't resolve much- I'm guessing the story would continue. Also, the will-they-won't-they doesn't actually get resolved- no HEA or HFN in this story. Normally I'd be quite upset about that but I liked the world and action scenes enough to note it anyway.
Working on
.I finished
, which has a bit of a Mad Max feel, in a day. I just gobbled it up. Yes, the hero goes by the name Wizard. Yes, there are trucks. There are some hero-who-is-confused-as-to-what-human-feelings-are tropes, but if you're cool with that, then I recommend it.
I love the Paradox series! The author has just wrapped up her urban fantasy quintet, so I'm hoping she writes more science fiction next. She has hinted at a spinoff.
I added a bunch of books to my TBR from the just-announced SFR Galaxy Awards. Disclosure: I am one of the judges.https://sfrgalaxyawards.blogspot.com/
Recently finished and recommended:
: Spinoff of the Beyond series, less BDSM.
: Excellent cyberpunk romance with a Texan take and flavor.

"Do you know where to find the bundle? Space Grit Bundle: Alien Romance Glom Set I didn't see it on Amazon."
Drake's Facebook page says it's no longer available as of 20 September. :(

"Oooh. I've just finished
(which I thought was cool and novel) but haven't read how the series starts. Looks interesting!
Just finished
. Interesting premise, though it helps a great deal to have been alive during the Cold War.I'm now rereading
before I read
, because there were some twisty plot pieces I don't completely recall.
