The mood of the book is sometimes fear then trust, hope and love. I felt that way because each time when Leanna almost got caught she didn't and I felt scared and the way the author described the bio bots was terrifying.
One theme that I liked is when Leanna went to trial to try to get some clearance the theme kinda reminded me of equal rights and slavery. I think the author is trying to talk about slavery and equal rights, the author tells us that cyborgs and clones don't get treated equally towards humans, cyborgs sit and learn in separate schools and even have a tattoo to tell them apart from humans, clones can't even learn or grow up the have childhood like humans or cyborgs. Like our world we use color and culture and religion to separate each of us from one another.
The characters do seem real and believable like I said before, I feel like I'm in the book as a monitor just monitoring them, one time someone said how they feel about a law and it was really deep and I felt like I shouldn't say anything back so it was super quiet between me and the person I was talking to. They remind me of our world right now and also how it used to be.
