I’m so sorry this book club fell off the rails. Since we are all in this pandemic together, I thought it would be a perfect time to pick back up and start a new book.
The first being All Out, The No Longer Secret Stories of Queer Teens Throughout the Ages. Edited by Saundra Mitchell. It’s a collection of short stories.
And even though we aren’t teens anymore and more like adults who are in our thirties or thereabouts, we all can relate to realizing we were queer in our tweens.
Let me know what you think and DM me on social media about your thoughts.
I placed some books we could start with in the Poll section. Vote for which one you think we should start with first!
I tried to add different types of genres to the reading list in the Bookshelf section. Buffering is an autobiography by YouTuber Hannah Hart. The Miseducation of Cameron Post is more in the realm of YA novels. Cracks and The Price of Salt are historical fiction that takes place in the 30s and 50s. If You Could Be Mine takes place in Iran and deals with trans issues. Are there other topics you're interested in exploring?
