Hi Melissa - that's great news - could you send me your url to fiona@fionarobyn.com and I'll add you to the list!Warmest,
Fiona
I edit a blog called 'a handful of stones' which publishes a new tiny poem every day.I'm always looking for submissions - you can find out more at the site.
I also have a lovely widget which you can add to your blog - it updates every day like magic. Here it is. Help yourself!
Here I am: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fiona-R...I'm also looking for photos of my books 'in the wild' - if you have one of my novels and you'd like to take a picture of it with yourself or in your house/garden, do send them through to me.
Thank you!
Excellent! Yes please Heather - if you could email me your url to fiona@fionarobyn.com that'd be fab.
Hi Heather - good to meet you... I know what you mean about it being difficult to pick a favourite (or ten) :)
39 signed up now... and I've decided to be ridiculously over-ambitious and try for 1000 blogs. If you're a blogger maybe you could help me spread the word? http://www.fionarobyn.com/thawblogspl.... Thank you!
Thanks to Tay for this question: Is it odd going into book stores, and seeing your books? Or do people ever ask you to sign their copies of books? The first time I saw my book in a bookshop is one of my favourite moments from my career as a writer so far... my friend took a photo of me pointing to it and grinning! I still find it a bit odd, but it's amazing how quickly you get used to things...
And people I know (on or off-line) sometimes ask me to sign my books - I've even got a special book-signing pen now. I'm not quite at the stage where I have long queues down the street at my book signings, but give me a few years!!
Hope that answers your questions, Tay.
Starting on the 1st of March 2010, I'll be blogging my entire third novel, Thaw. The novel follows Ruth as she gives herself 3 months to decide whether or not she wants to carry on living.
I'd love to let as many people know as possible, and so I'm looking for bloggers who'd be happy to post the first day of Ruth's diary on March 1st next year.
If you'd like to join in, read more here. If you take part your blog will added to this page and I'll be your friend forever.
If you'd like to join us, drop me an email (fiona@fionarobyn.com) or leave a message with your email here.
Have a good week!
You're already in the hat, Rachel, thank you again for your excellent review. Hope you're enjoying your weekend!
:) you could always wait until Christmas... My next novel, Thaw, will be online for free at http://read-thaw.blogspot.com so you'll save some money on that one.
Thanks Melissa!
Oh dear, Rebecca - how annoying! I wonder if the price automatically changes if they can see you're buying from the US... does anyone else get this price when they follow the link? I suppose they have to cover their shipping costs from the UK... The book will be on Amazon US but apparently it takes ages to appear, so you can either splash out on Book Depository one (or add it to your birthday list) or wait for it to get to Amazon US. Sorry!
If you still fancy reading The Blue Handbag you can buy one from The Book Depository for $7.82 with free delivery to the US - here's the link and here's my other one, The Letters. If you review either of these here or elsewhere by the end of Sep (even a star rating will do) you'll be automatically entered into my competition - I've got 10 books to give away, including my new novel Thaw.
I'm still available to answer any questions you might have - ask away ;)
Here it is! Thanks Rachel for creating this very cool photo montage. And Rachel has also reviewed the book here.
Hope you're having lovely Summers...
