Mhai is bright, cheerful, friendly and outgoing, and at first glance, she may seem innocent and naive, especially when it comes to her flirting. Don't be fooled, though — she knows exactly what she's doing to get people wrapped around her little finger. At heart, she's not a bad person — just erring on the attention-loving side, as she tends to get insecure about herself.Her theme song is Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cyindi Lauper.
Mhai comes from a Vietnamese-Japanese family — her father being Japanese and her mother being Vietnamese. Her extended family is, for lack of better words, massive, which means she has a lot of doting family members, and despite having seven other brothers and sisters, there will definitely be someone paying attention to her during family gatherings.
Outside of family gatherings, though, Mhai would get lonely. Yes, her family may be rich, but as the youngest child with a large age gap between her elder siblings, she often found herself with no one to play with. Her father was often busy with work while her mother was out playing the role of a socialite wife, her elder brothers and sisters being busy with the family business or with studies. Such an upbringing has made Mhai fear that one day she will be forgotten and all alone in the big mansion of hers, so she tries to surround herself with as many people and attention as she can.
Mhai is at Ouran because every Japanese conglomerate leader sends their children to the best school possible, and following in her siblings' footsteps, she is here too.
