What It Means When a Man Falls From The Sky is a wonderful collection of short stories that explore the relationships between family, spouses and lovers. Aminah is a remarkable writer whose debut collection will surely make you a fan.

Our May box featuring Kaitlyn Greenidge’s We Love You, Charlie Freeman takes us on a peculiar yet intriguing muti-generational journey through the lives of The Freeman family who have been invited to the Toneybee Institute in rural Massachusetts to participate in a research experiment. Isolated in their new, nearly all-white community not just by their race but by their strange living situation, the Freemans come undone.

What did you think about 'We Love You Charlie Freeman'?

For our April 2017 box Brit Bennett's beautifully crafted novel The Mothers leads us to focus on motherhood, the un-mothered and every type of 'mothering' in-between.

Brit's writing style will captivate you as you journey with her west to Oceanside, California where we find beautiful Nadia, a seventeen year old whose mother has just recently committed suicide under the most mysterious of circumstances. These well written characters will stay with you long after you've completed this book.
