Greetings and salutations my lovely geeky ladies!Once again the Geek Chic Book club is going to start up again. This time we are also going to add novels based on the things we geek about. Mainly because there have quite a few novels lately can be considered fan fiction, these stories still let us cling on to some of the favorite things we have loved.
I have been fairly busy with work as of late, and in a major reading slump. So I'm hoping I can get out of this a little bit.
I will also be looking for books to continue the main them of this book club. If anyone has suggestions please don't be afraid to give me any.
Later today I will announce the first choice for the book club for this year.
Welcome to the book club Discussion of Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde. If you are new to the club, Welcome! You may discuss topics on this book, and talk about your progress.
I believed she was like that all along, because she said that she wasn't like a her sister. It took a moment to see that her step-sister's life was being taken apart by her mother and her sister to realize she was on the wrong side of things.Darien's reaction to what his former best friend was perfect. I don't know if you read Eliza and Her Monsters Rachel, but I believe Darien's reactions were better than Wallace's.
The next book coming up for this club is Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde. So if you have not joined up with readings of this club I hope you join us with this book. As a twist for the final two books I hope to do something different. I have an idea for one book but still searching for another. If you have any suggestions, I'm really looking forward for the help for ideas.
And hoping to get things fixed by October, I would really love to do a live show with my other host Vanessa. I wish to discuss plots and characters of the books and more.
I know it been so couple of weeks, was read a different book that I was almost finished with. I'm almost a hundred pages through and finding it as an interesting retelling.
What did you think of Eliza and her Monsters? What didn't like from it?What aspects of the the characters that you did or didn't like?
attempting to start this book early before the official start, and in case I'm unable to check it at an from the library. I'm hoping I can renew it.
I will have to check it out Kristina. I am finally finished!! yay!!
there was a few that web comics that I used to read when I started a few of my own. count of Spades, (not sure if it's still up.), Mascara (which is being published into graphic novels now.) and many more I can't think of at the moment.
still trying to catch up. Wishing my reading corner had a light. Has anybody checked out any web comics?
I know I'm behind, but catching up. I'm currently on chapter 19....sshh...I know I started this club. I'm reading the book, and hopefully I finish tomorrow.
I admit I'm behind...I'm hoping to catch up this weekend. I've been reading The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon because I started it last month.
Hello fellow readers!I hope you are enjoying the book so far. I have to say I'm having serious flashbacks to high school. I was always considered more like Eliza, but I also had friends offline (Vanessa and more.) And online. I also started a few webcomics when I was high school.....I need to work on them again. I'm currently on chapter 8.
If you would like to please list where you're at would live to see the progress of other. Please do not give out Spoilers if you're further in the book.
