Appearance: Chai is a tall, imposing woman, especially coupled with her unusual silvery-grey hair and her purple eyes. She has high cheekbones as well. It had been commented on before that she seemed to have a wardrobe filled with the exact same clothes as she is fond of wearing similar, or the same cloak.

Personality: A warlock of few words, Chai is someone who'll do anything at the right price. She has few real friends but has a large network of connections and acquaintances. She thinks lots of things are frivolous and unnecessary (e.g. keeping friends), but she'll go to parties if invited, if just to make more connections and keep old bonds alive. She's quite no-nonsense, but has a soft spot for children, or younger beings in general. However, she's quick-witted and easy to anger, even if it's not obvious.

History: Chai was born to a human mother who gasped in horror the first time she saw her baby. Silver hair and purple eyes were far from normal, and especially since she was a child born out of wedlock and from being raped by a demon, she was tempted to abandon her to die. However, her mother realised she could make a fortune selling Chai to the freak circus, so she raised her in secret, not wanting her neighbours to see her strange baby. When Chai was twelve, the circus arrived in her town, to which her mother gladly handed her off, using the money to fuel her opium addiction. She ended up running away from the circus soon afterwards and was found by a High Warlock, who took her in and raised her.

After having spent a considerable time together, the High Warlock was murdered when Chai was out on an errand — by what or whom, Chai still hasn't figured it out. Finding the memories of her old house too painful, Chai began her extensive travels.
