" IN DARK TIMES, THE EYES BEGINS TO SEE" Acoording to this quote somethings in life we close our eyes and main to the things that happen around us, however we have to open our eyes even thought is in thehardest time of our life to start realizing wjhat is happening and have a beter understanding of the problem or situation. there are two books that connetes to this quotation such as the Narrative of the life of frederick duglass and Speak.

this quotation connetes to the Narrative of the life of frederick douglass by the way he started to realize that not everyone is the same of what you think that person is or show, for instance there ar people that show one thing in the out side and think different in the inside. similarly as sofia a women that started to help frederick in one of his hardest time in life such as slavery and start helping him with writing and reading.However she lead her self to the persuade of her husband and stated to think a different way of slavery and change her soul from a loving kind of person to a devilish hateful type of person. that is when frederick has to open his eyes and realize that everyhting is not the way you think or they make you think.

the book speak connetes to this quote "in the dark times, the eyes beging to see." in the book speak the charater melinda closes her eyes to her life by the way she was rape and feeling as nothing ionlife after it happens. she started to loose everything surround her like her friend, family confidence and others things just because she prefer to stay with sorrow and without letting her eyes to speak. in her hardtes time of her life with the pain of that day she suffer and loose her heart she still need to open her eyes to see that life keeps going and she need to let her heart to speak to take out everything that is not leeting her be happy and figureout what is going around her life.

one example of discrimination in my book is the way people at her school start to think bad about melinda because of what happen to her, a day before school started and because she dont want to talk about it. mamy people at her school who were her friends look at her very weird the first day of school.they started to prejudiced her with other, by taking with other people about her problem. melinda feel with fear of talikng for the moment and her friends what her to talk and dont respect her opinions.a problem like this is not to be talking about it with the whole school school.melinda also felt so lonely because every one is ignoring her and dont what to cnext to her. that is also one reason melida feels she is nothing and prefer to be alone and keeps her problems inside her. one citation that substantiate my opinons is "her eyes meet mine for a second. i hhate you, she mouths silently. she turns her back to me and laughts with her friends." i bite my lip. i am not going to think about it. it was ugly, but it's over." this citation explin the way one of melidas friends was treating her in her back to school with a fave of angryness and laught about her problem with another people in the school. that is how melinda began most of her trauma of not telling no one about that day.

one ethical promblem in my independent reading book called speak is that the main character, melinda in my book she has change a lot with everybody in herlife. One of the reason she has change is because her trauma of being rape.melinda behavior since what happen to her has chanllege drastically by the way she prefer to be alone and not be with someone who can help her get out of her trauma. most of the people involved in this problem is her family, friends and her self because her family want her to tell them but she dont want to talk she prefer to keep it on her heart. i know is difficult to get out of a trauma of that kind but is always good to try get out of it to keep leaving life.

i will use the same citation that i use before because i have a good advise for melinda the carracter in my book. for me it sound really interistaing the way she difine her self."I have nothing. I am nothing" melinda i think the way she difining and expressing your self is not a good way of espress your self. i know a problem like the one you had left you in a trauma,and that is hard to be the same person as before after what happen.however i thing life is a miracle and we should make the best of us to live it, i know life sometimes we think is unfair because things in our life happen and we not agree with it. but try to be with your familes and friends, who always will be there for you. they will help you to get of the trauma you are right now. being alone could make you more depress, and we want you to be the same as before.

I know MS. i forgot the difference of a citation and a cite, but i will remember them dont worry. now, going back to your question yes i think that the trauma that melida had could make her think that she is nothing in life. A situation like this is really painful in a person and also could meka them different from how they were before by the way they use to act, people could get more shy and sacred of everything sometime.I could now this before i have a friends that had the same situation and it was really sad and painful.
yes is her choice to make her friends and family apart from her and be around them as a torally differnt person. her painfulness could make her stop acting ar more like stop speaking different then before for feeling a stranger after the trauma.

" I have no friends. I have nothing. I am nothing." this cite looks interesting by the way melinda exprese her self as nothing. i wonder what inside her make her feel that she is nothing in life. melinda feel that if she talks her friends and family wont understand her or believe in her. she prefer to consider her self as having no one next to her or close to her that can help her and also prefer to feel that she is nothing in life.

how do you think this conflict is affecting the carracter emmotion and feeling in there life?

how you think the students in the book deal and work with this problems and conflicts? how those this affect there emotions and feeling and specialy there lifes.

a conflict in my book is the problem with speaking. my character in my book have a problem inside her heart and for her is hard to take it out. she was rape in a party before school started and now she is scared of talking about it. after that people and even her family threat her a different way and the problem still keep going into she talk.

the major theme in my short story in class is war. however the major theme in my independent reading book is fritened/scared to speak. theses two themes are differents because my regional theme is most about two group of people having war.the theme of my independent reading book the theme means that the carracter of the book is sacred of talking about her problems to her family and frienfds and prefer to lie. however this two story have something in common the regional story about the french and indians war and my independent book called speak the caracter wat to fell free with no problem however they both have things thata stop them from doing it.

there is many sitting in my book speak. one setting is her school in were she talk and explain everything that is happening also her house is another setting in were she talk about her family and how they treat her.However the most important setting in this story is melinda(the caracter) mind because there is were she takes everything that is happenig around her and a place in which she thinks is going to help her keep her problems inside her heart. this setting affect the plot of the story because she need to take out everything in her heart to we able to fell good and free from her proble, but the problem is that she dont want to rebeal her problems.

i havent get there yet, however she in the book mantions that something terrible happen to her on the begining of the book..

in my book called speak the main character need peace and confidence in her self and thurst to speak. she nedd to do that to take out her problem and everything that make her feel in depression or sad. what she want is just to forget or dont tall about her problem. she want to keep it on her self something that make her feel different as someone else. she only see or hear what other people say and dont think or here her heart. Example she try to forgetabout her problems by talikng and writting everything that happen on her life and around her.

well i just started to read this book it is called speak. this book looks really interastingso far. i am in pg 16 so far and i am going to keep reading it. this book is about a girl who go to high school for firt time. in this book the main charater start to tell about her expiriense about her classe, her teacher and friends. the character also explain her life in her house with her family.

well the major theme ofthis book is to speak. what i mean is that the main character of this book stop speaking of her problems and close her self. this theme is really important to the characters of this book because it shows who she really is and how she fells. However in the part that i am i this book so far is where she talks about her family and friends. She talks about how they treat her and the way they act with her.
