50x66 Happy Birthday John!
50x66 Welcome Deborah! It's nice to meet you!

Congratulations on you Grandchild! I'm looking forward to the day I can be one! I have two children, 22 and 19 both single, so it will be while.

I'm going to check out your book! My hubby doesn't share my passion for Christ either. It really makes it hard at times.

Glad you found us and if you have not read Sharon's book I would highly recommend it!

PEACE

50x66 Thanks for the group hug!!! You are a great bunch of friends!

Welcome Andrea and Annie!

Andrea, you are very wise 12 year old! You stay safe while on the internet!

Annie, congratulations on your wedding! I like to crochet too! I used to sew, but have not in a very long time. I loved to make pretty dresses for my daughter when she was little.

Love, hugs and PEACE to you all!

50x66 Proverbs 3:13-17

13 Blessed is the man who finds wisdom,
the man who gains understanding,

14 for she is more profitable than silver
and yields better returns than gold.

15 She is more precious than rubies;
nothing you desire can compare with her.

16 Long life is in her right hand;
in her left hand are riches and honor.

17 Her ways are pleasant ways,
and all her paths are peace.

50x66 Psalm 91 (New Living Translation)

Psalm 91

1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
3 For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.
4 He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
7 Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you.
8 Just open your eyes,
and see how the wicked are punished.

9 If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
10 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
11 For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.
12 They will hold you up with their hands
so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
13 You will trample upon lions and cobras;
you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!

14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.
15 When they call on me, I will answer;
I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue and honor them.
16 I will reward them with a long life
and give them my salvation.”

Diana, your experience with opening the Bible and blindly pointing at a scripture reminded me of the first time I did that. I was 15 and played cello in our school orchestra. We were in Temple Texas on tour and there was a terrible thunderstorm with tornado warnings. I was terrified of storms!! The hotel we were staying at had a Bible in the room, like most usually do. My friends and I were huddled up and scared. I got the Bible out and blindly opened it up, it fell on Psalms 91! We were all comforted and quieted when I read aloud the verses! I will never forget that night! And I still read Psalms 91 when I am afraid of anything! I no longer am frighted by thunderstorms, but it took years of praying and trusting God to get over that fear. That was just the beginning for me opening my Bible and letting the Lord speak to me, I still do that, and He still leads me to just the right verse!

PEACE my friends!

50x66 Hello my friends! Welcome Ellen, it's nice to "meet" you!

There's not too much new for me right now. I am feeling better so that's a plus! I had some quiet time with God last night and I really needed it! It felt good to shed some tears and really speak out about a lot of things that I had try to bury deep inside and not deal with. I feel at PEACE this morning!

50x66 Hello my PEACE sisters!

I was reading my Bible and this scripture really stood out for our group!

NLT James 3:17-18 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no partiality and is always sincere. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of goodness.

To me harvesting and birthing go together. By our seeking peace, we are birthing/harvesting goodness!

PEACE and blessings to all!

50x66 Hi fellow PEACE-makers! I like that Jeannie! I want to thank all of you for your prayers and encouragement! I am feeling so much better and I give God the glory, he answered your prayers!

My husband, Jimmy, can play any stringed instrument, except the fiddle, and I used to play that, which is how we met! He mainly plays banjo with his band, but he is a wonderful guitar player too! He started playing when he was 5, he and his twin brother learned from their Dad. We will be at Salmon Lake at Grapeland Texas for the Labor Day festival. This will be our 25th year to be their on Labor day!

I like the Sisterhood of the traveling PEACE! I have not seen the movie or read the book, but I think I would enjoy it.

PEACE my sisters!

50x66 I love the wisdom of Proverbs, even when it steps on my toes! If I could only read 2 books from the Bible it would be Proverbs and John.
