Hey everyone! Been a little quiet around here, and I apologize for that. I know we've all had some (huge) life changes, thanks to Covid-19 and QT and all that fun stuff. But I was wondering...has anyone been able to get extra reading in because of all this extra time? Any good books you want to squeal about?

Write2Ignite was so much fun when I went last year! I hope to go again, if possible. :)

Currently pitching my trilogy. Already sent out two proposals....so praying those go well...

Hello everyone! Just a quick announcement: Sarah Rodecker and I are hosting a "Realmiereadathon" over on Instagram. We are basically going to try to read and review as many of the books we purchased at Realm Makers as we can during August.

If you attended Realm Makers and bought some books, by all means, come and join us!

If you were unable to attend (and therefore, unable to purchase the books there), if you grabbed up a few titles that were available at the RM Bookstore (such as the books that were nominated for the awards) I think you could get away with joining. :)

If enough folks are interested (and not on Instagram), I think we could manage to do a little thing on GoodReads as well.

We need more Asian fantasy!!!

Not familiar with the time period...but...I would say since he’s a close family friend, people may not mind them going out together. They May just warn them to stay out in public, and not go hiding in alleys or places where they two are truly “alone.” Is there an annoying younger sibling they could ask to tag along (and is now in the way and has to be dragged along and protected as they do dangerous things)?

Hey y’all! Would anyone be interested in doing a RW book read together? (What are they called...book clubs...discussion groups...reading groups...???) Basically we all agree on a book to read through and discuss and chat and fangirl over as a group. :) Any interest in getting something going?

Help me out here-I’m the new GR coordinator so I gotta do something before I get kicked out for doing nothing with my title, lol. Anything else you’d rather see the RW group do on Goodreads?

Snippet from the second book in my trilogy, Words of Song:

Wisdom rolled up her sleeves. “What can I do, Marywyn? Is it bad?”

“No, not really bad, just lots of blood.” I tried to smile. “Give it time to heal, and he won’t even remember it. Might leave a faint scar though.”

“I’m not worried about that,” Tach groaned as I started to bind his shoulder. “As long as I live to see another few years, I won’t complain. Not trying to impress any girls.”

“I agree,” Wisdom handed me more linen.

“Wait, what?” Tach opened his eyes, glaring at the dark-haired woman. “What did you say about me? You don’t think I’m good looking?”

“If you trimmed your beard, cut your hair, and made some appearance to buy clothes that actually fit you, you might actually be a little handsome.” Wisdom raised an eyebrow. “The young ladies of every city and village would be swept off their feet by such a good-looking minstrel. But no, you actually look like you’ve been out living with the tigers for a few years. Probably haven’t had cooked meat in ages.”

“Am I really that bad?”

The corner of her mouth twitched. “Do you want me to answer that question?”

(Sorry, not really villain themed...but does the aftermath of the villain count??)

I’ve really enjoyed Melissa’s series. Even printing it out to scribble in my notes and answers. :)

Might look into worldanvil too. Sounds neat!
