Hmmm... I have a lot of favorite books, but I usually base my recommendations on the individual person I'm talking to. A book I would recommend to just about ANYBODY, though, would be When Life Happened by Jewel E. Ann. That book has haunted me for MONTHS since I read it.

Slow burn all the way for me. It's better to read, it's better to write... "Sex now" is good for those side characters you end up tossing later on, but not for the main characters.
