2465 All of my books are set in Maine, usually set in Old Orchard Beach. I was born and raised in OOB, 15th generation Native American-Native Mainer. My family settled and founded OOB and we are the oldest family in New England to still have the original family still living on the original land. The land has been in my family since the 1400s. I've a huge love for my family history and my town and Old Orchard Beach is so much a part of my writing that the town itself almost becomes a character in my work.

I've been writing write Literary Fiction, Literary Horror, Bizarro & Bizarre Literary Science Fiction, Space Fantasy, Slice of Life, Historical, Paranormal Romance, Gothic, Horror, Science Fiction, Weird/Bizarro, Historical Romance, Alien Erotica, and Monster Porn Flash Fiction & Short Stories all set in Old Orchard Beach, Maine since 1978.

I'm the creator of the following pulp fiction series/serials:

Friends Are Forever: The Twighlight Manor Series (231 volumes)
Alien Vampires/Zombies From Outer Space (16/5 volumes)
Brain Sucking Squid From Neptune's Moon (14 volumes)
Captured By Faeries/Mermen (24/36 volumes)
The Planet Ptarmagin Series (32 volumes)
Tales From the Trailer Park (42 volumes)
The Chrystonite Chronicles (24 volumes)
EelKat's Twisted Tales (200+ volumes)
Quaraun The Insane (52 volumes)
The Alien Bible (7 volumes)

All together, as of this posting, I have 683 titles, but most of them are long out of print. I'm currently working to get them back in print.

In celebration of the 35th Anniversary of The Twighlight Manor Series, all of my Short Stories are being reformatted and converted into Kindle ebook editions to be released throughout 2014 and 2015 and beyond.

You can find a list of them on my GoodReads Profile here: https://www.goodreads.com/EelKat some of them are out of print though, not easy to find; the list of ones currently available is on my Amazon Profile here: http://www.amazon.com/author/eelkat

2465 Anybody here interested in getting together for a writer's meeting? I'm a member of the Portland Writers Group over on MeetUp.com and they have a monthly meeting for authors called: Write Club

Here's the official page if you were interested: http://www.meetup.com/Portland-Writer...

Info off that page is:

" This is how Write Club works:

1. PROMPT

• Once WRITE CLUB is underway, the host will provide attendees with a prompt. Attendees may use the prompt as inspiration or work on something else they’ve been developing. It’s completely up to you.

2. WRITING

• Participants will then write for about 30-40 minutes.

3. ROUNDTABLES

• Once the writing portion is completed, attendees will have a choice of three tables to have their work reviewed: BLESS, PRESS and ADDRESS.

BLESS - The BLESS table will focus on positive feedback only.

PRESS - The PRESS table will focus on really tightening up the story overall (for instance, if you’re thinking of submitting your story to a literary magazine, you might want to choose this table).

ADDRESS - The ADDRESS table will focus on specific issues the writer may want help with, such as dialogue, character, or something else the writer is really stumbling over.

• Once you’ve chosen your table, you’ll be paired off with someone at that same editing stage. You will swap writing, either by reading each other’s work or by reading your work aloud to the other. You’ll provide feedback (oral and/or written).

If time permits, pairs may be formed again and/or you might have an opportunity to move to another table.

4. WRITE CLUB take out -

This WRITE CLUB will end, but that doesn’t mean the conversations have to. If you’re interested, you can submit (email) your work to the host who will create a Google Doc, share it back with you (making you the owner). When you’re ready, he will post it on The Write Club website:www.thewriteschool.tumblr.com. You’ll have the ability to choose who sees your work and what kind of permissions they have (editing, commenting, or just reading). If someone you don’t know wants to read your work, you’ll get an email asking your permission.

WRITE CLUB - Tim Gillis ([masked])

One final note:
If you RSVP Yes and then find you can’t attend prior to the meetup, please take the time to change your RSVP to No, or contact the host privately or through the comments section to express your regrets. This is to ensure people who are automatically waitlisted can attend and it helps the host in gathering enough tables and chairs to seat everyone who RSVPed Yes. This meetup occurs in a freely and kindly provided space that isn’t reserved to us exclusively, so please be respectful of your host and the venue by being thoughtful in letting the host know if you can’t attend as you’d hoped to.

Also, please be aware that the host cannot guarantee electrical outlets, or enough of them, will be nearby to where the meetup occurs. Please plan ahead and/or consider ‘kicking it old school’ and bringing a pen and paper to write with, even as a back-up. "

2465 Anybody here interested in getting together for a writer's meeting? I'm a member of the Portland Writers Group over on MeetUp.com and they have a monthly meeting for authors called: Sudden Writing 2.0

Here's the official page if you were interested: http://www.meetup.com/Portland-Writer...

"

Is it hard finding the time and the space to write, or are you wanting to write but lacking ideas? Wouldn't it be great to write in the company of others, be inspired and maybe make a new friend or two? If so, this meetup is for you.

Here’s how it will work. Once the meetup is underway, you will have one of two options:

Option 1
The host will choose a prompt blindly. This prompt will be read aloud to the group and placed somewhere within easy reach/sight for reference. Participants will then write as directed or suggested by the prompt for one hour, or…

Option 2
You already have something you want to work on and you’re here to do just that. You’ll write on your own for one hour too, and then…

Depending on everyone’s mood, we’ll gather collectively, individually or in groups, and anyone interested may read their work. This is completely voluntary, however you may experience a little gentle peer pressure. :) Most people do tend to read what they've written though, and we often offer very light comments or discussion in encouragement.

That’s it! From there you can do with it what you will: file it away for later, develop it into a full-blown story, take it in a direction not suggested by the prompt, and of course maybe submit it to one of the writing workshops or to our companion website www.thewriteschool.tumblr.com for further online feedback. More information on these options will be provided at the meetup to those of you who may be interested.

2465 I'm from OOB, go back and forth every few days between OOB and Biddeford (where my disabled dad lives).

Anybody else on here in OOB/Biddeford/Saco?

For folks who live in the area, you probably know my car better than me, it's the Dazzling Razzberry a rhinestoned volvo (you can see pics here: https://www.goodreads.com/photo/autho... )

2465 I don't mind taking over if a mod is still needed. I used to mod on various forums, so I know the basic "how to mod" stuff. Plus I was a NaNoWriMo/Script Frenzy ML for 6 years in Saco. So I know how to set up offline meetings as well, if group members were interested in some sort of monthly get togethers.
