One comes to mind: the fact that John Wilkes Booth attended the hanging of John Brown at Harpers Ferry. I'm also learning more about JWB's life and motivations. I recently read
Right or Wrong, God Judge Me: THE WRITINGS OF JOHN WILKES BOOTH, which includes several documents I wasn't familiar with: his undelivered Philadelphia speech (1860), with its deranged ideology ("men have no right to entertain opinions which endanger the safety of the country") and the "To Whom it May Concern" letter.
