Alchemy’s comments from the Existentialism group.

You could read the theatrical play "No Exit" by Sartre. Thought provoking, easy to read and existential to the core! A novel that comes to mind also is "The Tunnel" by Ernesto Sabato. I'm not sure you could call them less intense, but they do have a plot :-)
