I did actually guess most of the ending bizarrely, because I’m never good at that sort of thing. I loved it so so much. And I like that we don’t know what was magic, coincidence or ghostly goings on.It was such a good read I couldn’t put it down. I think it was so well done.
I’m also really enjoying the book and how little things are being teased out. I like that we hear what Rose lost through her conversation with Hazel rather than Olive. I also like the undercurrent of magic running through the book - reminds me a bit of Sarah Addison Allen. The diversity is great and I think the book does a good job of normalising different body types. It feels natural and not forced.
I have my theories on who Laurel, Holly and Ash are. And I love Olive’s dad - he’s such a character (“Lock the back door!” 😄)
One of my favourite bits from this section of the book is the conversation between Olive and Emily when Olive starts seeing her sister as a real person, someone she might actually have things in common with rather than an annoyance.
I’m enjoying it so far. Plenty of questions and I like the different perspectives along with the lost things at the start of each chapter 🙂
