26962 I agree with Paul, the work of writing is finishing well. Glad to know I'm not the only one with piles of unfinished work. Good luck Clifford, good editing to the finish--your work deserves it.
Cheers

26962 Argh! the black hole of facebook! It's where my creative and free time for writing disappears--I think I'll make that a mental goal to stay away while writing.
Great goals Tink--good luck.

Dreams (49 new)

26962 There's a whole arena on the study and interpretation of dreams which, from time to time, I find interesting. I have crazy dreams but can never remember most of them.
One that's stayed with me for years is this--
I was in a board room with a crowd of important people where were all looking at and talking about this large, old (ancient) book with a cracked red leather cover with gold print and scrolls all over it. They kept saying it had all the answers--like the answers to everything important. I was trying to push through and reach around to see the book but the people in my dream kept pulling it away from me and looking at me as though I was crazy to want to look at it. I was getting more and more desperate to see this book with all the answers when my brother showed up and said, "Why do you need to look at it, you wrote that book."
All right, grandiose notions that in my dream I write a book with all the answers but so frustrating that I believed if I could just look at it, I'd have all the answers.
Is this a common dream? Of all things, in an episode of the Simpsons, Homer dreamed he invented the greatest invention but was unable to see what he invented. Anyone else ever experience something like it?

26962 Thank you Marisol, that's my goal for this year--and for this group. I'm discovering the solitary life of writing without feedback has been less productive for me.

26962 Marisol,
Three! and none are finished. My goal is to finish them, edit and find out if I really have three novels.

26962 Good luck Paul! Excellent goals and I'll be routing for you. You actually helped me set my goals for rewrites and editing--you are right, we do love to pile up the partially completed and baby ideas, don't we? I look forward to reading your stuff.

26962 My writing in 2010 is at least 100 words per day.
My goals are to edit and complete my novels, compile short stories and essays before I consider publishing.
I appreciate feedback. Thanks!
