2802 Help please. When I open a new book it gives me an option to update on goodreads but it doesn't work. I have to go to the goodreads icon on the home screen and update it from there. Any ideas on what's going on? I didn't see anything when I googled the issue. I have a new kindle.

Cindy can you explain why you use Calibre to send news feeds? I thought we could subscribe to things and they automatically send directly to the Kindle?.... Thanks for explaining it, I am just lost when it comes to Calibre but I really want to learn the value of it.

2802 i tried to figure it out and wasn't sure why it was worth the effort... i'm not trying to imply that it isn't worth it, i just didn't get "it" :-(

I have a DecalGirl matte skin on mine and I love it."

i sorry, bear with me here b/c there's something i'm not understanding. i googled it and saw stuff about zip files, .bin, etc. but i never installed anything! i just chose "show hidden files" in windows so that i could see the "system" folder when plugged in the Kindle to the computer. then i went in the system folder and put in some of my own jpegs. so what would i have uninstalled?

i must have had a separate issue running parallel then b/c when amazon looked at my logs they said that a hack was preventing the download. i uninstalled the pics and that didnt work. did a factory reset and that was unsuccessful too. so they sent me a new one. maybe something else was going on to prevent the download.

2802 i suggest getting your skin through decalgirl.com. i had to take a skin off b/c i received a replacement kindle. it came off with no problem, left no residue at all and i was able to reapply it (with a little patience) to my new Kindle. i wouldnt suggest the custom screensavers unless you are tech. savvy b/c altering the Kindle, aka hacking, will block its ability to download new software. i'm sure people have found a way around it being blocked but that wasnt my case. it led to a large delay before i could experience 2.5.

2802 does anyone know how the collections are sorted? i ordered them a specific way when i created them and then as i transferred titles to it the collections started to reorganize. it's not by number of titles w/i the collection or by the alphabet... kind of odd.

btw, in response to Angela- my collection titles are sample fiction, sample non-fiction, fiction, non-fiction, fav's, to read/reading, bleh, lee child, jd robb, chicklit, core (the user guides and such). LOVE IT. i feel like i just got a brand-new DX!!!!
