I'm reading A Wolf Called Romeo by Nick Jans. It's good so far - a true story about a wild wolf that befriended the town of Juneau and its canine members. I'm learning a lot about wolves and the controversy surrounding them.
When you open up a book on your Kindle app, tap the button on the upper right hand corner (on my app it's an upside down ellipsis) and one of the options that comes up is Word Runner. The other options are "Shop in Bookstore, Add a Bookmark, Share Progress, and Word Wise". If you end up trying it let me know what you think. I've wanted to discuss it with someone and I don't know anyone else who's tried it yet, but I love it.
Hi everyone,I hope many of you have been playing around with the new Kindle Fire and Kindle Android app updates. How do you all like the Word Runner app? It's the new feature that helps you to read faster by flashing one word at a time across your screen at a pace you choose.
I personally love it! I have already read a couple books using it and I know I'm reading much faster. At first, my comprehension lagged a little behind but now that's improving as well. If you're comfortable sharing, I was wondering how fast everyone sets their pace at and how you think it's improved your speed. I am set at 475 right now in the book I'm reading.

That looks really good! I just downloaded it, thank you.
I finished The Long Walk by Stephen King yesterday and loved it. I was about 50 pages from the end when my Paperwhite arrived and had to try it out, of course, and finished it. Now I'm reading The Passage by Justin Cronin. I'm liking it so far. I would really just love to not do anything but read on my wonderful new Kindle this weekend. Obligations, why?
I just noticed that Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill, one of my favorite horror novels, is available on the Kindle for only $1.99.http://www.amazon.com/Heart-Shaped-Bo...
If you're looking for a good scary book to get you in the mood for Halloween, I'd definitely go with this one!
Mine arrived today and I love it! I've been using the Kindle Fire and this feels like a much more authentic way of reading. Also, the glare on the Fire was pretty strong in daylight, but the best feature it had was a backlight. Now that the paperwhite has that, I feel like it has the best of all versions (although no audio). I'm pretty thankful it came on a Friday because all I want to do now is read on it!
