50x66 This week I read 'The Philosophy of Wicca' by Amber Laine Fisher. It was interesting; Amber made some good points. It didn't totally jump out at me though. To be honest, I would probably have to read it again to take everything in. I enjoyed it, though. Philosophy of Wicca by Amber Laine Fisher

50x66 i read the circle of nine CIRCLE OF NINE by Josephine Pennicott by josephine pennicott. it was okay. not as good as kate forsyth's series of a very similar story line. the characters were hard to connect with and i didn't feel much empathy for the main character. there's a lot of telling and not much showing. it amused me for a week regardless.

50x66 oops - forgot to update! i read addition by toni jordan for my fourth week in january. it was good. i liked jordan's characterisation of grace, unfortunately, i found the rest of the story rather dull. i think it could have been fleshed out a bit more. otherwise, quite enjoyable. 50x66 The Tea House on Mulberry Street by Sharon Owens so my book for week three was 'The Tea House on Mulberry Street'. It was cute - a little easy bit of chick lit, bit of a no-brainer, i finished it by wednesday.

okay, so yes, only moderators can make folders. except daria did and i have no idea how! perhaps ask her. other than that, i've made everyone a folder so that they can add their weeks under their name. :)

50x66 for my second week, i read 'the little red writing book' by Mark Treddinick. Great book. Mark makes some valid points about writing clearly and concisely. Helped to refresh my knowledge of writing. I enjoyed it! The Little Red Writing Book by Mark Tredinnick

just so i can confirm - it's not in the drop down menu - it's next to the drop down menu. it should say 'add new folder' next to the drop down menu. is that not available to you?
50x66 Cat wrote: "I'm so sorry to bug you again, but how do you make a folder? I tried to create a new discussion, and it allows me to select a folder, but the only folder it allows me to select is "Mandy's Books"...."

mmm, okay, that's interesting. when you get to the place where you can select a folder, is there a little thing next to the drop down menus that says 'add a folder'? you should be able to click it.....

let me know!
50x66 everyone - you can make a folder in this discussions section to put entries under. if you make a folder with your name, then you can post your books under it week by week and it will be easily defined by your name.

see my example: 'mandy's books'

Should we start our own individual thread with our reads for 2010?

Thanks!

yes, by all means! that's what i want everyone to do, so that we know what everyone is reading. and anything you want to recommend to the group, post these books in the 'bookshelf' section!! :)
