Jenna’s comments from the Heroines of Fantasy group.

I thought I would start this group because I have a habit of picking out books that contain strong female protagonists. Maybe it's the tomboy in me, or perhaps it was the way I was raised: that girls can accomplish anything they put their minds to, even when the boys insist they cannot.
My goal here, however, is not to turn this into a battle of the sexes, but rather, to give those of us readers/writers (male and female alike) who prefer our female characters independent and intelligent, a place to share our thoughts and opinions.
I hope this group can become a good outlet for those of us who need a little more character to our characters :).
