I have bookshelves of books, both fiction and non fiction, that have helped me better understand the Bible and God's love for me. My novel, THE RUBY RING, portrays a time in history when people gave their lives just to have access to the Bible. Sadly, today, the Bible is easily available but seldom read.
Thanks, Mary, for the list of authors. I'll check them out. Do they write historical fiction set during the English Reformation? If so, I'm even more interested since my debut historical fiction - THE RUBY RING - is set during that time period against the backdrop of Tyndale's battle for an English Bible.
I'm a Christian missionary working in Hong Kong and have been here so long that I'm out of touch with current Christian historical fiction. I'm enjoying seeing the various books mentioned here and will certainly check out A House Called Askival by Merryn Glover. Does anyone like novels set during the English Reformation?
