Not well, but I think it was white or cream colored with some type of design on the front. The title might have been written in a flowery font.

It was suggested that I try this group for help in finding a lost book. I am not sure whether this fits the category of "bodice ripper" or not.

This was a smutty type historical romance from the '80s or '90s. I read it in high school, so it could not have been pubbed any later than 1997.

Unfortunately, the only part I remember is the sex! There were a plethora of smutty sex scenes, but the ones I remember most clearly took place in a dingy apartment and a garden. There were two female main characters in this romance. I think maybe they were sisters. One was a redhead and the other was blonde. The setting was historical, most likely late 1800s or early 1900s. The story took place in a developed urban area, either in England or the east coast of the United States.

I'll start off with the redhead. She was described as independent and fiery. I remember her traveling to a dingy apartment (possibly abandoned) to lose her virginity with her male lover. They had to sneak around obviously due to the time period. They were not married. I think the lover builds a fire in the fireplace. Then they lie down on either a rug or the bed. He has reusable condoms that he takes out of a little tin. They were described as having a chalky residue, I think. I remember he was described as having a huge penis, and the redhead was surprised by it. The lover was happy to discover that the woman's pubic hair was also red. He says something like, "I hoped so." They proceed to have intercourse, but I don't recall it being particularly pleasurable for the redhead.

The second woman was the blonde. She was described as fat and dimwitted. She's in unrequited love with a horrible man. There was some scandal about the man's father killing his mother and possibly raping his own son? Not sure about that part. Anyway, she pines for this man. I think he has "scandalous" Italian heritage. He's not nice at all. Finally, they have a sex scene together in the garden of a country estate. She makes clumsy advances towards him, and he proceeds to deflower her right there on the ground.

From what I remember, he sticks his hand under her dress and feels that she's aroused. He says something like, "Christ, you're so wet, you're dying for it." She is shocked but happy at this. He then says something along the lines of, "Don't act shocked, you've been begging me to fuck you silly." Then he gets on top of her and they have sex, which the blonde is described as enjoying a great deal. Afterwards, I believe she gets pregnant. She's crying in her room and her maid comes in and asks, "Have you been doing something with your young man that you shouldn't?"

I'm pretty sure the redhead had at least three lovers. The first was the lover from the dingy apartment, the second was probably her sister's lover, and the third was some other guy.

The second lover and the redhead had sex all over a isolated country estate. I think that was the scene where she was "sobbing with pleasure" while he was performing oral sex on her. It described them having sex in the house, outside, in the barn, him "taking her from behind," her giving him a blowjob, etc.

The third lover was probably the guy the redhead ended up with. He was also described as having a giant penis, like the first lover. She apparently had "wave upon wave" of wracking orgasms due to his penis. She didn't think could "handle all of it," but she did. Pretty typical romance stuff with the huge, honking penises.

I also remember a rape scene where an older society woman raped a young man. I think she was a lecherous type, a "fallen woman" of some sort. He definitely didn't want the sex, but he was unable to fight her off. This scene was not portrayed as erotic at all. I assume this young man was one of the lovers, or maybe he was another character.

Well, there was a lot more to this book than the smut, but that's all I can remember. I think it's possible that lovers were traded around at one point. I think there was at least one oral sex scene on one of the women where she was described as sobbing with pleasure. It was an erotic book, but not pure porn. There were other storylines happening as well.

I'm almost positive the book was set after the turn of the century, because I remember the redhead woman and the second lover taking a car to the isolated country estate. But I'm positive it was before 1920. Women still wore long dresses and I don't recall phones or other technology. Maybe telegrams. The book was a paperback, about 700 pages long, and really thick.
