I bet they make a trio, Edward, Bella as a Vampire with Renesmee, that would be cool.
Ahhhhh, a new Twilight fan born every minute! My daughter's 18th birthday cake had Twilight on it. We asked my then 4 year old nephew who was on the cake? He said, "Twiwight!" in his cute little voice! : ) just had to share that!
That's when having a daughter comes in handy, My daughter has the Twilight Barbies, I doubt they'll make the one I want, EMMETT! But if they do, It's SO mine!!!!!
I started a discussion under Breaking Dawn about my copy of the collector's edition. There's a mistake in it! Check it out!!!!!
My daughter also has a bumper sticker that says "I didn't get my letter to Hogwarts, so I'm moving to Forks!"
Lara wrote: "Great discussion! My sister is also a huge fan of the novels, and will be getting married next year. Before she met her fiance, she always said she was going to walk down the aisle to "Clare de Lun..."Supermassive Black Hole. : ) I love it too!!!!!
Yes, I love the music, it has actuall opened my mind a little more to other genres of music. I bought the piano music to Twilight and hope to get New Moon soon. I can play the "easy version" of Bella's Lullaby, among others. : ) Supermassive Blackhole is my all time favoirte song now. I think it's because Emmett is so darn hot in the baseball scene! he he : ) I put that song on the end of every CD I make on my computer. It just dosen't get old for me.Some of my other faves are;
Twilight: Flightless Bird ~ Full Moon ~ Eyes on Fire
New Moon: Possiblity ~ Satelite Heart ~ Monsters
Eclipse: Heavy In Your Arms ~ My Love ~ Chop and Change
And I can't wait to here what's coming up for Breaking Dawn!
He he, since the topic was what do I hate about Twilight, here it is. . . .My favorite Vampire is Emmett. So, I don't really swoon over Edward. I wouldn't kick him out of bed for eating crackers, but he just dosen't make me, well, swoon.
So, for me, Edward in Eclipse just got on my nerves with his "perfectness" He was just soooo forgiving, soooooo understanding, sooooooo willing to let Bella do anything she wanted or get away with anything! I can't believe he let her kiss Jacob! He even kinda set it up for her! I wonder if Alice helped him with that? Sorry for being gross but, she could have peeed in his Volvo and he would have said, "That's okay my darling, you're just human, you had to pee somewhere. I will love you beyond forever for it."
Gimme a Break! Talk about a marshmellow! I guess that's why I like Emmett! he he he
I'm not trying to "pick on" a certain person or anything. But I get tired of the "sends the wrong message" comments. On ANY book. Different people, see different messages in books. I don't think that the Twilight series was meant to be a book "with a message" It's a Young Adult Romance, what do you expect? Reality? I don't think so. I think there are books out there that young people are reading that send worse messages than Twilight. Parents just need to be aware of what their kids are reading, ask them about them, find out what their about. If they don't like the "message" that it sends, talk to your child about it, let them know that you don't agree with it and tell them what the better choice would be. Or simpler, if you can't talk to your kids like that. Take the book away from them. It's up to the parents. Just like drugs or sex.I'm sorry Ashley but I gotta use yours as an example. I understand that is your opinion, and I respect it, and you are entilted to it. First off, I have to say, that I'm a lover of the Twilight series, and I really don't like Bella either.
But, just because she has little friends, and no hobbies. Doesn't mean that she's just waiting around for prince charming to show up. She's just an odd girl, mature for her age, she knew that she needed to keep up with, and take care of her "hairbrained" mother. So, she had no time for friends or hobbies. She had to take care of the house and do her homework so she could take care of herself when she was done with high school.
Why aren't we blaming Renee, Bella's mother for the way Bella is. She's the one that gave up on her marrige. (without even trying it seems) She's the one that put it into Bella's head that she shouldn't get married right out of HS, that she had to have a carreer. What's so wrong with getting married and being a housewife, just because it wasn't the life for Renee, dosen't mean that it won't be the life for Bella. AND, everyone keeps forgeting that Bella didn't just give up her life and dreams for Edward. She just included him in them. She fully intended to go to college and get that career when her newborn period was over. And these days she could get any degree that she wanted to over the internet, while trying to take care of a half-vampire child at home.
Sorry if I am venting, but, there it is.
Ashley wrote: "I doubt she had any friends at her last school either. She never mentions any. I just think these sort of books send the wrong message. That you shouldn't have friends or be interested in thing..."
I don't think that it sends that message at all. I never had a large group of friends growing up and I turned out okay.
Nope, It was Felix. Felix is like the thug, the muscle, the cooler of the Volturi. Jane ordered him to do it. On the last page of The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, Jane says "Take care of that, Felix," then she nodded at Bree, "I want to go home." And you're right, it was in Breaking Dawn also, Whoever did that question was WAY off. Carlisle valued all human/vampire life. He would only kill someone if was for the safety of his family. Esme and Carlisle tried to save Bree. I wish they had, because I liked her! : )
Hello, I'm 40 and I love the Twilight Saga. Me and two of my besties are somewhat obsessed. My favorite charachter is Emmett Cullen, I call him my boyfriend. he he he I love to watch the other two fight over Edward! I'm glad I found this group. I've participated in some other threads about Twilight only to get my feelings hurt and verbally bashed from the haters. I think this is a great story. I'm so glad that vampires have become the trend. Ever since I was little I was facinated by vampires and Twilight has made it okay to love vampires. Showing us that they can be good guys too. Although, when they make a mistake, they tend to make a bad one. : ) Anyway, I'm glad to be a part of a group that will be positive about someting that I love. I am also a pretty big "Potter Geek" I love the Harry Potter series. Others that I have gotten into is the House of Night novels, The Uglies series, Outlander, Vladimir Tod, Hush Hush, and Fallen. I'm also a great big fan of Stephen King. Does all this make me sound creepy. I think that If I were a kid these days. I'd be a goth girl. : ) I do wear a lot of black, but right now, I'd look pretty pathetic with the make up.Twilight made me remember what it was like to be seventeen and in love again. It's a wonderful story.
My Daughter, (19 years old) Has most of the Barbies and other dolls. I'm waiting for the Emmett barbie, I totally love Emmett. The nicest collection that I have would be the trading cards. I need to get on line and complete my Eclipse set before Breaking Dawn comes out. One of my favorite things is the Journal set. One of the funniest things I have is, well, I drive a Jeep. It's a 2006 Rubicon. No, I didn't buy the Jeep just because of Emmett. We've always owned Jeeps. Anyway, My friend bought me a sticker that I put on the back that says "Protected by Emmett Cullen" I love it! My husband hates it! He he he he. My daughter has a liscense plate cover that says, "Warning I drive like a Cullen" he he he
Okay, I loved Bree. I thought it was awesome to see this vampire world, from a "non-vegetarian" point of view. What it was like for them to turn, and live. Plus I was super excited to find out that there was one vampire that Victoria had created. That did not die in the battle with the Cullens and Werewolves. Anyone remember Fred?
Ashley wrote: "Yeah I'd love to move to those places as well. For now, I'm stuck in California whose weather is just too unpredictable, ugh. For now it's sunny, and it kills my poor skin, bleck. Hey Jasper ne..."
At least you're closer, I'm stuck in Nebraska, where they say, "Welcome to Nebraska, if you don't like the weather, wait a half and hour, it will change!"
Seriously, we had a day a couple of weeks ago where it was snowing big fluffy flakes in the morning, but by the end of the day, you could have put on shorts if you wanted to.
At least in Bella's world, the weather was somewhat constant. : )
Oh yeah, I wouldn't kick Jasper out of the house either! he he he! But only if Emmett wasn't home! : )
Ashley wrote: "Yeah, I think the think I love about the first book, despite its simplicity, is the feeling that her words evoke. Like when Bella is driving down to her new home and thinking back on what she loved..."If I ever found myself alone in the world, I would totally move to Oregon or Washington for a while. The rain, mixed in with the trees, mmmmmm such a sweet scent.
Ashley wrote: "Wow you are lucky that you got to spend so much time in the beautiful forests. It was always really rare for me, but when I did I treasured it. :DLindis wrote: "Wow, finally a place where I can..."
LOL! Yeah, it's always fun to hear my other two Dihard Twilight sisters fight over Edward! I just laugh. Cauz I got a vampire all to myself! he he he : )
Ashley wrote: "As for me... I like getting lost in the fantasy of finding this kind of love in the lush forest setting. I absolutely LOVE the setting for these movies, as well as my own imaginings from the books...."I agree with you on the setting. I have always loved forests. I grew up camping in a local forest. I was always going off on my own and just listening to the sounds in the forest. I always thought it was romantic. My parents were always worried that I'd get lost. But they taught me well.
Wow, finally a place where I can chat about the Twilight saga, with adults, and not get bashed. Geeesh, why are some people so touchy about this? And on an extra note: I Love Emmett!
