Join us in-house on Wed, Sep 28 for a discussion of
Code Name Verity or leave us a comment here!
Next month, we'll discuss
Maus, and in November, we're talking about
Facing the Mountain.

YAY!

Join us this year as we tackle a different challenge each month. In January, we're reading books with ONE-WORD TITLES. Share your choice with us!

We're reading Steinbeck's classic this month. Tell us what you think!

What do you think about this month's read?

Let us know what you think about January's Book Club read.

Post your reviews here!

Have you read a book for Summer Reading (June 8 - August 1)? Post your review here - and don't forget to have a Reference Librarian check off your Comic Panel Chart and enter you in our prize drawings!
Melissa wrote: "Should I be putting my reviews in this thread instead? Or maybe copying/pasting?"You can put reviews here. Or, if you like, you can link to your review or let us know that you've added a review to a book.

Welcome to Summer Reading 2014! We're trying something different this year, but you can still add your reviews each week. For more information (or to download a "Periodic Table of Literary Elements") check out our
Summer Reading page.

Thanks everyone for participating this year!

Adult Summer Reading runs JUNE 3-JULY 27, so post your reviews here for a chance to win a great summer prize!

Although we've read "apocalypse" novels before (
The Road in 2009 and
Ashfall last December), this one should be a bit different, since it's about humans being defeated (possibly) by artificial intelligence, rather than through natural means. As you read this novel, think about the increasingly dependency we have on our "smart" technology.
If you're reading it, or have read it, feel free to post a comment or question.

What do you think about this book?

Leave us a comment on this book if you've read it before, or are currently reading it for Book Club.

Remember, reading a July TFPL Book Club read (THE FIFTH VIAL by Michael Palmer) will give you double the entries!
Hope to see you at Book Club - July 12 - 7 PM...

Share your thoughts about this month's TFPL Book Club book.
And since this is part of Summer Reading, earn a drawing entry for your participation.

Tell us about the books you read this summer! For each mini-review you post (which you can copy and paste from your own goodreads account) from June 4-July 28, we'll enter you in to our Summer Reading contest drawings for cool prizes. Plus, you'll get bragging rights when you complete your Summer Reading Challenge.
Remember, if you read an official TFPL Book Club book, you'll get two entries!
In June, we'll read
The Inextinguishable Symphony by Martin Goldmsith. In July, we'll read
The Fifth Vial by Michael Palmer.

Summer Reading for Twin Falls Public Library!
Read a book, post your review here (or a link) and we'll enter you in our prize drawings.

Hello, fellow book lovers! We're just experimenting with goodreads discussion groups. In time, we're hoping to be able to do a real online book club! It will be great for all of you who can't make our regular meeting time. With any luck, we'll also be doing a teen one. Give us some time while we figure this out.
Thank you! And take time to read!
