yep I know what you mean. I am just about done with my book for my reading group on here but it is a little bit of two things stopping me from finishing it. One, time and not much of it, and two, the book is so good I am taking my time cause I don't want it to end. My list of things to read is huge...if I live long enough to read them all I will be happy :o)
yeah...hiding is a tough one in my house...I really need to build a man shack on my property somewhere...at least that's what my brother in-law tells me.
where are you at that it is freezing? Sorry to hear that you have rain though. We have it today as well but that's ok. As for that book Teeth I mentioned it is really awesome so far. I wish I didn't have to work tonight cause I would go find a nice quiet place to finish it today...it's that good.
I the middle of Timothy James Dean's Teeth book. Pretty cool so far and different which I like. Also, enjoying the weather now that summer has actually arrived :o)
you should read a CSI in Vegas book. They actually have a series for that out as well.Actually, there's a great book about being in, or should I say on, a really big building by Dean Koontz called Face Of Fear. Oh and the wax museum next to the Venetian is awesome. Try going through the house of horrors walk through thing in there...very cool.
The Ranger Apprentice books are very addictive and since you love fantasy they are definitely something you would like.As for anime, I really like Vampire Hunter D, Black Cat, Blood The Last Vampire, Van Helsing, Akira, Gunslinger Girls, Mushi Shi, Rozen Maiden, Ghost Hunt, & Samari 7 so far. We have quite a few on our Netflix list at the moment as well
Has anyone here read the Rangers Apprentice books by John Flanagan yet? They are definitely another great series to check out. I am hunting down the next 3 books in the series now.
The Passage is the name of the book, and I think that looks like a pretty good selection of titles to vote through.
well that's good cause it's so worht the money and time. You will be highly entertained...just a warning your eyes might become blood shot from lack of sleep :o)
If you really want to see a pretty cool anime, check out Vampire Hunter D but look for the newer animation DVD. It's got a black cover with a symbol in blood on it. It's like a animated version of one of those old Hammer Horror films with Christopher Lee & Peter Cushing...way cool stuff. I finished the second disk of Princess Resurrection yesterday and it does get better as it goes on. I am actually looking forward to seeing the next disk when Netflix sends it.Also if this group wants to read a kick butt book that will soon be the talk of talks this summer, read The Passage by Justin Cronin. Here's a review by Stephen King you should read and he is dead on with his review:
Here is what STEPHEN KING has to say about THE PASSAGE:
"Every so often a novel-reader's novel comes along: an enthralling, entertaining story wedded to simple, supple prose, both informed by tremendous imagination. Summer is the perfect time for such books, and this year readers can enjoy the gift of Justin Cronin¹s THE PASSAGE. Read fifteen pages and you will find yourself captivated; read thirty and you will find yourself taken prisoner and reading late into the night. It has the vividness that only epic works of fantasy and imagination can achieve. What else can I say? This: read this book and the ordinary world disappears."
I'm in the middle of a book called The Candy Shop War by Brandon Mull and it is a lot of fun. Definitely a hard to put down title and almost want to call into work sick so I can stay home and finish it read. Also, been watching an anime series called Princess Ressurection which isn't to bad. It's a subtitles thing but easy to follow and is pretty entertaining.
what's with Easter being all advertised like Christmas now? Easter baskets with a Nintendo DS in them ? Wow, what happened to some chocolate and jelly beans or even some peeps. How about a basket with a book in it huh :o)
hey Liz happy to know I made you feel all fuzzy inside....just don't get your fuzzies soggy ok :o) weird dates are ok from a certain point of view, and my pirate says, "Arrrr, I tank yer fer yer werds and raise me bottle a rum to yer."
I've been trying to finish a coloring project. I'm such a slacker on this thing. It's a drawing an artist on DeviantArt.com did and she wanted to see how many different ways people would color it in. I sometimes need someone to light a firecracker under my butt :o)
hey I just wanted to say this is a pretty well set up book group. I wouldn't add to much more to it. It's simple and right to the point. I don't know if I will be on board with ever title chosen but I will try, as I am reading in another group at the moment but again great set up, I like it :o)
