33247 "I feel like a bowl spaghetti. I gone splat!" She rolled out of the truck and landed on her knees. She took a glance around. "Any suggestions on what to do?"

33247 The man continued on past, walking down the road. There was a small groan from inside the truck. "Where are we?" Laurel mumbled.

33247 The station looked what a usual station would. It had the pumps and inside there was assorted candies, drinks and other things, as well as the counter to buy it at.

The smell of hamburgers and fat drifted over to her from the right side, where there was a McDonalds. Another look around revealed that they weren't in the city anymore, off in the distance she could see the endless green and gold of wheat and grass.

Just then the door to the store rang, and a man holding a six pack of soda stepped out.

33247 Laurel was still out cold, Taylor sprawled out crazily on top of her. Taylor's breathing was shallow.

The three of them were still in the back of a large truck, all around them was a layer of hay, from an old load, but currently they were the only things occupying it other than the hay and a tarp they had landed on.

The truck was off, and there was no sign of it's driver, but they were parked in front of a small seedy gas station. A quick glance around would reveal that they had already left the big city and were in the country.

33247 Gradually the strong hold of the dream faded and Illandere's hold on her drained. It was silent around her, but just as quietly the pitter patter of rain started.

33247 ((Sorry, another long one. . . :) ))

The first dream faded out, and then a new image rose in her mind.

Naomi stood, blood streaked down her lovely white dress. Her hands and face were covered in mud. A corpse lay at her feet, and slowly she rose from examining him. “Talent's dead,” she said softly to no one.

The man standing before her, the Myst, looked contemplatively at her, his white face holding no expression. His long black hair swayed as he stepped forward and said simply. “You're next.”

Naomi didn't flinch. “Where's Belenos?”

The Myst stopped, his face questioning. “You mean you haven't realized? Naomi you're smarter than that,” he said in the tone of a lecturing teacher.

Naomi tensed, her hands raised to fight. “What do you mean?”

The Myst smiled gently, reaching for her, but missing as she stepped back, her eyes filled with contempt. “He's one of my players, Naomi. He won't help you.”

Naomi took a step back, nearly slipping in the mud. “You're lying,” she hissed.

The Myst shook his head. “You are smarter than that. I realize that now. You just don't want to believe it.” He nodded to himself happily. “Then I'll show you.”

“What, stop!” Naomi took another step back, but this time she did slip, landing on her back. She sat up and stared as Belenos slowly walked out of the cave behind the Myst. “Belenos.” she said, relief flooding her voice. “You're still alive.”

Belenos didn't return her smile. Instead, as he reached Myst he stopped, standing to the right but just slightly behind him. “Belenos,” Naomi repeated. Her hand reaching out for him.

The Myst shook his head. “I'm disappointed. I suppose I'll have to prove it.” He turned to Belenos, motioning him forward. “Kill her.”

Naomi's eyes widened incredulously, but she didn't move even as Belenos stepped forward, drawing out two moon blades made entirely of black opal. She just continued to stand there, staring quietly at Belenos, making to motion to protect herself from him. Her face was frozen in confusion, but it seemed that she simply refused to believe Belenos would hurt her.

At that moment he raised his blade and struck. It came down, and it was only a last minute hesitory move that Naomi raised her arm, protecting her shoulder and stomach. The weapon cut deep into her arm, cutting it from almost wrist to elbow.

Naomi stumbled back, her eyes wide with disbelief, but Belenos gave her no time to hesitate. He rushed forward nicking her on the arms, on the sides and shoulders as she barely made a retreat. “Belenos,” she pleaded. “What are you doing?”

Belenos made no drawback on his attack. “I'm following orders,” he said simply.

“Why!” she shouted, stopping her blade with her already injured arm.

“It's none of your business,” he said coldly.

“It is my business,” she hissed, and then hesitated. “Belenos.” Her arm reached down to her stomach and she hesitated again. “You have a child,” she said quietly.

Belenos stopped, frozen, his eyes wide. “You said you would wait. That you were afraid.”

Silent tears ran down Naomi's pain stricken face. “But I loved you.”

Belenos took a step back shaking his head. “I'm sorry Naomi, but I can spare either of you.”

Naomi's eyes widened again, this time full of anger. “Curse you Belenos, you're a monster.” Then she turned and ran, Belenos following. He made a swing at her, his face as cold as ice. At that moment Naomi tripped, falling over Talent's remains. Belenos missed, skidding several feet past her.

Her face pressed into the ground Naomi finally noticed something. Her engagement ring was in Talent's hand. Not only that, but it was gradually changing into different colors, first a blue sapphire, then a green emerald, Amber, Ruby, Pearl, Chrysoberyl, Amethyst. The colors of all the other warriors, she realized. She'd known before that Diamond could absorb other powers, but never until now did she know the extent. Her friends had left her the last gift they could give. This was her only chance to stop The Myst. . .and Belenos. She knew what she had to do.

Derey's vision went black, and slowly as the light came back to her she saw Naomi. The long bloody wound that went from her wrist to her elbow still bled badly, and the were many nicks on her legs and down her body. Her staff that had been missing a moment before was held firmly in her uninjured hand and both arms were raised out perpendicular to her body, the staff parallel to it. A shimmering force field of a hundred different shades of colors surrounded Belenos and The Myst. The Myst had crumpled to the ground in pain as the shield had gotten closer. She spoke. “Belenos, The man known as The Myst, for the crimes you have committed, the lives you have taken, I now give you punishment. I seal you inside the walls of the noland of your own black souls, never to rise to the harm of another, and with the power of all the Legendary warriors I banish you now!”

The ball of magical energy tightened around them, using all the attributes of all the warriors to stop any action on the part of it's two prisoners to escape. Soon the ball shrunk to such a small size that it The Myst simply vanished in his body, but Belenos stood there as the last bit of light disappeared and flew back to the hand of Naomi. He swayed slowly in the nonexistent wind, and then collapsed, his body still there, but his mind gone.

For a moment Naomi simply stood there, swaying too, then she also collapsed to the muddy ground, falling on all fours. Now that it was done a ragged sob slid from her throat, followed by tears raining down, disappearing into the already rain soaked ground. She collapsed a little more laying on her side in the cold wet dirt. She hugged her stomach, weeping. Her left hand that still held the shattered diamond of her wedding ring clutched her shirt. Another torn sob left her and she curled up in a fetal position, her hands still resting on her stomach. It was over.

33247 The man dodged, bringing his gun up. Laurel though, had taken the distraction in stride, she was already out the window, grabbing Derey at the last second. Then she jumped. At that moment a at truck passed beneath them, and so instead of landing in the garbage that Laurel had aimed for, they landed in the back of the truck, hard. The shock of the impact was so hard it knocked them out.(Is that okay? It's for that new post.) The truck continued on not noticing it's two new passengers.

And while they were both unconscious, a dream came to Derey. In her sleep a voice spoke to her, sounding godly, and tired. "Listen." It said simply, and so she began to dream.

In her dream she saw a dark room. In it there was only a single candle flickering on a small nightstand beside a bed. To the right of the arrangement was a small sofa with cushions. To the left of the bed and nightstand was also a window in the stone walls of the room that gave vision to the simple dark blue of the night sky. Staring out that window was a small woman. Long cascades of wavy golden hair flowed from her head, framing it like lover's hands caressing her face. She had full pink lips that almost begged to be touched, and when she smiled, as she did now staring out the window, it brightened her in the same way the sun brightened a waterfall. She was a young woman, and the simple joy of life itself held her body taut with anticipatory energy.

After a moment in whatever world existed behind her sky blue eyes, she glanced down to her hands, fingering a bright jewel on her left ring finger. It was a diamond, carefully set in the mold of a golden ring. The woman looked up, startled, as the door to the room opened. She let out a sigh of musical joy. “Belenos,” she said, enough fiery adoration in her eyes as looked upon him to set the sea ablaze.

Belenos, his eyes sparkling violet in the soft glow, reached out, touching her in a even more gentle caress than her hair dared hope to frame her face. “Naomi.” His voice was barely a whisper, but even at that Naomi blushed, her face finely complimenting the orange red sunrise that just now shading the edges of the sky. “You waited all night,” Belenos said in a inquisitive, but playful voice.

Naomi nodded her head, smiling ruefully. “I'm so used to staying up all night, with all that's gone on, and then you hadn't come back yet.”

Belenos chuckled. “You don't have to worry anymore, Naomi. That's all ended, the Myst is gone for good. Just because I'm gone one night, doesn't mean you have to stay up all night worrying.”

Naomi smiled. “I have a right to worry.” She punched him playfully. “After all, you said you'd be back last night. I had everything set out just right and you never showed up.”

Belenos smiled back at her. “And I suppose by now everything is too late. That would be terrible.”

Naomi gripped his collar and pulled him closer. “Wanna bet? I'm not letting you get away again now that I have you in my sights my evasive husband.”

Belenos leaned in closer, his nose almost touching hers. “I suppose I'll have to give up and surrender to you then, my clever wife.” With those words he waited no longer, drawing himself the last inch and kissing her.

After a full minute Naomi leaned back, her smiled turning into a full fledged grin. “Oh my,” she said at last. “I think I quite like being married.”

Belenos chuckled at her reaction, sighing contentedly as he held her. “Naomi. . .” His words were cut of by a high pitched scream. Naomi straightened immediately, as did Belenos. Without a word she grabbed her staff, which had been leaning beside the couch. Belenos rose with her, and both of them ran down the hall, Belenos reaching in his coat as he walked, and drawing out two cestus, hard metal and leather gloves. He pulled them on as fast as he could and as they entered the great hall, he finally pulled out two moon blades.

The other warriors were already there. Giegress growled, her fierce wild eyes for once set in shock. Leila swayed and Alta rushed to catch her. “Hall!” Leila wailed, her voice carrying in the great hall like the opposite of a siren's, it froze everyone to their place. Naomi paused no more then a second, and then she and Belenos rushed forward, joining the other three warriors kneeling around Hall. Naomi's heart sunk as the saw the magical light of Issicar's gift shining down on Hall.

Hall lay paralyzed, his fingers clenched to his chest in claws. His eyes were wide open, the pupil's within them dilated as he stared through everything. His mouth was wide in a scream of silent pain. His short prickly blond hair rain with sweat. Then his whole body started to shake. “Issicar, do something!” Naomi hissed.

Issicar's hands were already on Hall, attempting to steady him. “I'm trying!” he shouted angrily. Abruptly Hall's eyes swiveled to stare at Naomi, twisting his body with him, even as his violent seizure continued.

Naomi froze, and for a moment everyone did also. Then Hall's hand shot out, grabbing Naomi by her left hand and pulling her ear to his mouth. “The Myst,” he pleaded softly into her ear. Then he started to make a gargling sound and collapsed again, his seizure becoming more violent. Then a black cloud seeped from his mouth, rising above him. Hall's body stopped moving.

Issicar's hands shook. “He's dead,” he whispered.

Behind all of the rest of the warriors Belenos stood, his eyes wide with horror. Both moon blades he'd held slipped from his fingers, dropping to the floor, and as they hit the floor the opal embedded into the hilt cracked and the weapon shattered.

33247 Laurel brought her all the way over her shoulder. That's when there was a small crash outside the door. One of the guards that Derey had knocked out before was awake. He brought his gun out, his frame a little unsteady. "Freeze or I'll shoot," he growled.

33247 Laurel got a viciously wicked smile on her face then. "But before any of that we'll have to find a way to get her out of here." She glanced at a clock. "Can't be too much longer before someone notices somethings gone wrong." She headed for Taylor, grabbing an arm and starting to try to heave her over her shoulder.

33247 ((Wow, after reading all of our posts I remember why this was my favorite RP.))

“Gabriel. . .” she said slowly, and then scoffed. “You're a fool. I swear, your going to get us all killed, but I have no choice, what Belenos wants he gets.” She shook her head. “So, until we arrive back to him, I,” she bowed deeply, with a mocking smile on her face. “Am at your service.”

Her eyes flickered to Taylor after she rose. “I suppose that to get back we'll have to involve her too. An ideas on how to do the trip?”

33247 Laurel smiled, "If you were already dead and were being used by your enemy against your friends how do you think you would feel? It would probably be agonizing, and with the Myst's control she wouldn't even be able to show it."

Laurel went serious again, "Don't you realize? Even if Taylor were to make that choice there's no way she'd be able to tell you or try to pull it off herself."

Laurel huffed and crouched down to the floor, her arms circling her knees. "You know, I thought I would be happy going home, but with so many things left unfinished. . ." She trailed off.
