Who are You?

I'm Jonathan Bender -- the author of LEGO: A Love Story, a new book out this week about the fascinating world of adult fans of LEGO bricks and my return to a hobby that I'd left behind two decades previously.

How we do know you're real and not a minifig?

Good question, Internet. It's simple, minifigs have hands permanently shaped into semi-circles. I have fingers that can type 70 words a minute thanks to a high school typing course.

But isn't that the answer a minifig might give, especially if they had figured out how to use speech-to-text software?

Minifigs are not sentient, despite what Toy Story 3 may tell you.
