My debut inspirational romance, Cookie Encounter, came out last October and is .99 until the end of the year.
Natalie Alexander believes she is unworthy of a romantic relationship after a traumatic event back in college. After moving to southern Illinois, she can finally put the past behind her. She works from home as a freelance writer, in her own world most of the time. But then she unexpectedly meets the handsome Nick Norton, over a platter of cookies. She’s smitten from the first moment although she isn’t looking for love. Or is she? Unwittingly Natalie is drawn to Nick, but will she ever be able to reveal her secret? Can Natalie overcome her insecurities and can Nick help her see her inner beauty?

Thanks and good luck!
I had my first signing of Cookie Encounter, an inspirational romance, back in Nov. I held it at a local bakery and sold 25 books. I think because my writer's group spread the word and because it was in a bakery a lot of people in the area love, it was a win-win.I guess it depends on the title and your tie-in to where the signing is being held. I did send a press release and a write-up was in the paper after the signing (the journalist came to the signing), but don't think that netted any sales. I also had some door prizes.
I had fun though and only held it for 2 hours, to keep things moving. I had flyers and posted them in several places in the area, neighboring towns, but don't think they helped much either.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!
