34765 My impression of the book is that it was good. It tells the stories of Huck and the gang that he is in with Tom Sawyer. I like how Mark Twain writes his books and describes the characters so that you can picture them in your head. I enjoyed the story because Huck and his friends are very mischievous and adventurous. Huck and Tom are very smart and find ways out of tough situations. Huck's father is a drunk and often disappears. Huck is described as a dirty person that comes from the lowest part of society. He is often homeless and poor. The widow Douglas tries to help Huck and give him a home, but Huck refuses and wants to stay with his own ways. Since Huck is young, it probably seems that the world is new.
This book is written in first person point of view, with Huck telling the story. The message of this book is to believe in yourself and you are able to do things even though you think you might not be able to. I would recommend this book to teens that like books about other teens and their lives. This was a good book.

34765 My impression of the book is that it is good and interesting. The plot is one that flows and you just can't put the book down because it is really interesting. I agree with Kain that the message is everything happens for a reason. My favorite character was Billy's Grandpa. Grandpa was very wise and liked to joke around a lot with Billy. He also taught Billy many things.Billy's dogs were cool too because they always listen to him and help him in any situation. I thought the ending was pretty good, but sad also because his dogs died. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a good and interesting read.

34765 My impression of this book was that it shows how tough some peoples lives are, but how they have good friends and loving family to depend on. There are two gangs, the greasers and the socs. The greasers are a strong gang of teenagers, but they are also poor. The socs are a group that thinks they are the best and they are rich. Ponyboy Curtis is the main character. He is sort of a shy and quiet kind of person, but is very intelligent. He has two older brothers; Sodapop and Darry. Sodapop is the hotshot brother, but he is also caring towards Ponyboy. Darry is the concerned older brother of Ponyboy. After Johnny and Ponyboy go to the church, and it starts on fire and there are children inside of it, and they both help them. Dally also helps the little kids. That shows bravery in the Greasers. I didn't like how Johnny and Dally both die at the end of the story.
I would recommend this book to teenagers because it is a non-fiction book with lots of action and anticipation.
I do not have any questions about this book.
