I have only seen the first and second instalments of "The Hobbit", but to answer the question. She more or less impressed me as fan-fiction, really. She's a good character, though.
I got 100%. I had a hard time remembering Tolkien's occupation at the time he wrote the book, but I guessed correctly. Good quiz!
I read the Lord of the Rings trilogy first, then the Hobbit, and the Silmarillion. Although I would love to get my hands on other works done by Tolkien, it sufficeth me that I have the foundation down first. I did see the movies before reading the books, as they were coming out into theaters, and each LotR book took about 6 months to read.

I believe that Arwen preserved herself for Aragorn, after they were married. Since Tolkien was a devout Catholic, I'm confidant he would not deviate from that in his personal writings.
Dan wrote: "Is the Silmarillion a difficult read?"Going along with what Kevis said, the Silmarillion can be a hard read, only because it covers a huge space of time. Plus, I've learned that J.R.R. Tolkien wasn't the only person to write the story either: I believe his son Christopher did some of the writings as well.
It's been over ten years since I read the trilogy, so I don't remember exactly. I remember that parts of Two Towers were in the third movie, but it's the thickest of the three in story length. I just finished reading the Hobbit, and in the middle of the Silmarillion, which mysteriously disappeared in my room somewhere.
