I am, (going to attempt), to read the Complete History of Middle Earth this year!

I just finished rereading LoTR and the Hobbit to refresh the max memories and I'm ready to bounce.

Also try Guy Gavriel Kay, he helped Christopher Tolkien organising J.R.R.T.'s notes for the Silmarillion and the History.

The worst things are done with the best intentions. Exactly what I thought.
