Michele’s comments from the Jane Austen group.

I love both sisters for what they each represent. I think it's good to have a little bit of both their characters.

I think Elizabeth Bennett is one of the greatest characters in all of Literature. Mr. Darcy isn't bad either. lol.

My favorites are Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Northanger Abbey, Persuasion, Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park.

I know that it wasn't easy for women to write during Jane Austen's time. Novel reading during Austen's time wasn't seen as being "respectable". So you can imagine what it was like if you were a woman who wanted to write.
