There's a Masterpiece version of Northanger Abbey with JJ Field and Felicity Jones (not sure what year it came out) that I just love. The casting of Henry Tilney was just perfect!

Persuasion is my all-time favorite book of Austen's. I absolutely love and adore it.

I do love the 1995 version of Persuasion with Amanda Root and Ciarán Hinds. Has anyone seen the more recent 2007 version? I heard that they changed bits and pieces of the story.

I have yet to see the 2009 version of Emma. I've only seen the Gwenyth Palttrow version and the Kate Beckinsale version, and I have to say I'm not a big fan of the Kate Beckinsale version. I didn't care for the guy that they cast as Mr. Knightley (I prefer Jeremy Northam, I think he did a fantastic job) and it just seemed like they almost made Emma seem very cruel in that version. I don't know, maybe it was just me and I need to sit down and watch it again.

Hello all, my name is Katie, I live in California but I'm moving to Arizona and I am addicted to all things Jane Austen. The first Jane Austen novel that I read was Pride & Prejudice, but my favorite is Persuasion. I've seen (almost) all Jane Austen adaptations and I have a varying amount of love for all of them, even the Keira Knightley version of Pride & Prejudice (which I consider P&P lite because it has all the same characters, it's just lite on plot, lol). I look forward to discussing the wonderfulness that is Jane Austen with everyone. :-)
