Yeah, I forgot to mention them. You're right unfortunately.

36975 I think they ignored one character especially while reading the book - Colonel Brandon! The story may not be based on romance, but I can2t think someone call it as anti-romantic...

I don't think Darcy is shy, or arrogant, he just can't find people that he can have conversation with, that's all.

And Darcy is certainly Colin Firth. In addition to other Darcy qualifications, he's got the voice. :) I can't bear to watch 2005 movie, since I watched the 1995 one. Although the reason of it might also be Keira Knightley, I'm not sure, but this is the fact. Colin Firth is Darcy, and Darcy is Colin Firth. :))

36975 I'm sick of them using and ruining P&P! Noone really knows the book, hasn't read the book, but everyone is talking about it -totally in a wrong way!

I wish BBC would make a series of Mansfield Park. The movies haven't satisfied me. That thick book deserves a long and faithful adaptation.

36975 Tilney would be the most realistic I think. He struggles to live his life (in some way, he isn't the first son at all), he didn't fall for Catherine, neither at the beginning nor in the end. He just thought she's the right one for him, that simple. Also he's strict for the right and has virtues that make him a real gentleman.

Now I think most men don't have such virtues, so I'm saying that Mr Collins would be the most realistic one. :) Ill-mannered, rude and ass kisser people are everywhere!

36975 I totally agree with you two... Eventually he managed us to forgive him by his amazing letter... :)) Well, he's a man at last :)

36975 At first I got so angry with Captain. He was so cold to Anne, while too interested in Henrietta and Louisa. I admit that Anne had broken his heart so he wanted to suffer her. But I couldn't believe that he was so blind to see she was suffering deeply and still loved him so much. But we see from his letter that he couldn't be sure whether she still had loved him or not. And that is not anormal for a man, so I had to forgive him :)

Waiting a woman who had given up him for eight years and a half is the most marvelous qualification of him. I see another Jane trick here. A captain who has a very qualified personality and is very handsome and rich enough, waits that woman so long! I'm sorry but it's very hard for me to believe it. :)

Also Anne is so good, qualified and goodlooking, I think they deserve each other. They are so cute together - unless Anne isn't the one in the 2007 version. :))
